Cartier love bangles

These things are so cheesy. I wil never understand why people pay money like this for a mass produced item that screams “striver”. Go to a jeweler and have them design something for you if you want a nice piece and have that kind of money.

+1

No…

There is no such think that is “meant to be a gift”

You are certainly entitled to buy these for yourself if you want.

1. Not pretty.

2. Overpriced, like all brand-name jewelry.

3. All your friends have it? That's a reason to pass, you sheep!

I can't believe some people.

Why would you spend thousands on something that's so tacky looking?

So that people know she has thousands to spend.

Sounds like really insecure new money.

I love jewelry. But I don’t love this. It’s just boring and dated. The current trend is to wear multiple smaller bracelets. I could spend $7k on 4 unique bracelets that work together in different combinations. That would be a lot more fun than 1 big gold bracelet that is difficult to remove.

I’d rather be basic and “new money” than unnecessarily mean and snobby like some of the posters here. See, when I don’t like something, I just say nothing at all.

OP, go visit the purseforum on your question. As a Pp said, these are not your people. I long considered the Love to be basic (though I never walked around the internet saying that), until I tried one on on a whim several years back. You see, I was planning to get the Juste un Clou to be different but didn’t like how very thick the bracelet was.

Anyway, I really liked it. It suddenly made sense why it’s so popular. It’s a really classic design that goes with everything. I now wear 2 (a classic and a small) and am very happy with them. As a PP, said, they’ve been around forever - since the 60s. I would compare them to the Chanel classic flap. They had a real resurgence in the last decade, but have staying power, so I wouldn’t be particularly considered with them being dated.

Finally, get it because YOU want it, not to follow the crowd. I got mine in spite of the fact that some people find them “basic”. I’m sure some people see them and judge me. I don’t care. In fact, to me, that’s true confidence because I bought them for me and me alone. Good luck.

OP I love it.

Make sure this "want" is what you want given the price point you and only you need to love it.

I never ever heard anyone say they "scratch"

Like you my circle many women wear them. Ours are old...

If OP can't handle honest feedback after asking if a $7k bracelet is a "necessity" then she shouldn't have asked. Seriously, have some perspective.

People weren’t giving honest feedback - they were being mean and piling on. 80% of the posts are “ew basic” and “I would never”.

NP. I love them. I don’t have one, nor could I justify the expense but I think if you love something and can afford it, go for it.
