| I am contemplating a Cartier love bangle. Classic gold. My question is whether or not this item is a staple, a necessity, and something that is timeless and worth it. (All of my friends have them, and none of them had to buy it for themselves. I would be purchasing this for myself.) |
| You’re asking if a $7,000 bangle is a necessity? |
Yes. This one: https://www.cartier.com/en-us/jewelry/bracelets/love/love-bracelet-B6067517.html |
| I don’t know much about fine jewelry, but if I was going to make the investment, I wouldn’t start with this. Assuming I was looking at the right thing in the Google search, it’s a very plain bracelet that’s primary embellishment is looking like it’s embedded with screws. It doesn’t feature beautifully cut stones or detailed craftsmanship. I don’t think it’s very appealing. Unless you’re a carpenter or own a hardware store, I can’t imagine why you’d want it. Maybe I’m just too unsophisticated to appreciate it, but if so, I’m thankful. |
| Overdone. Hard pass. |
| The fact that all your friends have one is a good reason to pass on this trend. |
| They scratch like crazy. |
| Omg no! Everyone will know you had to buy it for yourself and that's so embarrassing! |
There are options with diamonds but it’s way more expensive that way. |
Are you being sincere or is this sarcasm? |
| No. Buy something below $500 and invest rest in treasury bonds. If you are loaded then pay somebody's hospital bill or house rent. |
| Basic. So basic. |
| Its not even pretty. |
21:36 again I just saw this post with the link? Why would you buy yourself a manacle that you can’t put on or remove yourself? I can perhaps see it as a substitute for a wedding band or collar, although it would decidedly not be my preference. However, you’re buying it for yourself so it doesn’t represent a fixed commitment to anyone. Even if you have the jeweler put it on, what are you going to do if you want/need to get it off? |
Oh, please.🙃 |
