Typically, I know there are several 55 year old, 5’10”, size 2 DCUMers who look 30, so don’t come at me.

I also think how old someone looks at 70/80/90 is very much driven by genetics. Prince Philip looked older than the Queen (even accounting for age differences).

Poor Philip looked like a crypt walker.

He was frickin' 99 years old when he died. Christ, rightly so.

Elizabeth was only 3 years younger and she didn’t look nearly that old.

She was plumper. Philip was thin.

Genetics. White, fair skin. Doesn't age well. The term black don't crack is very real.

Yes but a lot of white American celebrities look much younger as they age. Obviously because of more beauty treatments and plastic surgery.

Heavier so she looked more filled out, healthier, and not like a “crypt keeper” + she probably took better care of her skin.

I think it's a combination of genetics plus they aren't into their appearances/being stylish (looking at you Princess Royal).

Reason I think it's partyl due to genetics - look at America's most famous Irish family. The Kennedys. So many wrinkles in that family. Much more than from just being in the sun without sunscreen.

I remember looking at Kate a few years ago and thinking she had too many wrinkles for her age. I thought given their rainy climate and the fact that they always wear hats would shield them from aging as fast. They also have money which they obviously aren’t using for skincare. I have been to Europe but not the UK. Do the people of the UK typically age fast? I am in my 70s and my relatives in their 90s look younger than Camilla, Princess Anne, and King Charles.

King Charles and Camilla are in their 70's. They look their ages. I have no idea what Princess Anne looks like.

I think they just are ok being they age they are, and don't feel pressured to go in for all the plastic surgery and treatments.

They look like average older people. It's fine.

This and OP you are far off base. Charles also looks his age. As does Kate.

Kate is aging really poorly, as is William.

I'm stunned by how much plastic surgery the women AND men I know in my mc suburb have. It's the norm to at least get botox regularly. Many, many of them go for the full mommy lift.

They look like s*** too. Just a different kind of s***.

She is very skinny. A famous actress once said you had to choose between your weight and wrinkles. This was before Botox when gaining extra weight was used sometimes to plump out the skin. Maybe it was Lauren Bacall who said this??

If you look at photos of long-ago movie stars, they appear “fat” compared to the skinny people of today. I actually think these older stars looked normal and sexy at a more natural weight.

Kate looks painfully thin and she will probably become hunched over in old age due to the lack of nutrition now.

“A 30-year-old woman must choose between her bottom and her face,” Catherine Deneuve famously declared. You’ve heard it before: After a certain age, you have to make a choice between your—ahem—derrière and your visage.

No. The phrase is, you have to choose between your face and your fanny.

Plus she wore makeup.

I can attest to that. In my 60s, not too bad with wrinkles mainly because I moisturize well, but age spots, crepey skin, ugh. I am so pale, everything is a rash in the summer. Celtic origins. My Black, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean friends are looking much better.

But, not going the plastic route. It is what it is.

Have you not seen pics of Charles when he was young? He looks 100 times better now.

I do find myself wondering how she is this thin, actually. Even a very slim and fit woman wouldn't look like that after 3 kids. Yes, a woman csn be thin, sure, but she kind of hits below a general benchmark. What does she even eat?
