Ok but that is not a royal family thing. |
I agree, and the same goes for the Irish. I lived in Spain for years and remember traveling to England from time to time and being struck by how not-attractive the English were, LOL, at least relative to the Spanish. |
| The demons cannot hold on to the glamour for long. Besides they are ugly AF to begin with. |
I'm stunned by how much plastic surgery the women AND men I know in my mc suburb have. It's the norm to at least get botox regularly. Many, many of them go for the full mommy lift. |
I think their health system causes a lot of this. I've known several Brits who had braces as kids but still had awful teeth in adulthood. |
He was frickin' 99 years old when he died. Christ, rightly so. |
Elizabeth was only 3 years younger and she didn’t look nearly that old. |
| I think English people generally age very poorly. |
Let’s see how you look at 98 |
“A 30-year-old woman must choose between her bottom and her face,” Catherine Deneuve famously declared. You’ve heard it before: After a certain age, you have to make a choice between your—ahem—derrière and your visage. |
that is because you have to wear a retainer, for life, unless you want your teeth to go back to being crooked. The English don't put as much stock into perfectly white straight teeth as Americans do. But, yea, they also generally don't go see the dentist regularly, either. My spouse is British, and in the US they go to the dentist regularly for a checkup, but when they lived in the UK, they didn't and it shows. Spouse has a lot more teeth issues than I do. We all go to the dentist 2x/yr for cleaning and checkup. |
| You are just used to seeing celebrities who have tons of surgery and Botox, so people aging normally look "old" to you. Normal 50yos don't look like JLo |
Same here in Virginia. We all get regular botox and a lot of them got tummy tucks, veneers, and implants. We're in an affluent suburb and facelifts after 60 are also the norm. My FIL in FL got hair transplant and a facelift and his wife got everything done (boobs, stomach, lips, facelift, nose). My classmates who are now in California also had everything done and they also wear hair extensions for volume as an everyday thing. Those are normal people with normal jobs or SAHM - not entertainment. |
| Little to no plastic surgery, plus staying thinner. |
| Brits in general go on holiday and burn themselves to a crisp. I don’t quite get it. Some of it is that they’re more fair skinned or ruddy, but a lot of it is not wearing sunscreen and thinking tan or burnt looks good. They also smoke a lot. |
