Rewatching The Americans

I believe they would have gone back to America after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. They would try to reconnect with their children.

You think she’s pretty?

Omg I need to go back and rewatch this. It was just Paige on the train, right? I can’t remember what happened to Henry. Did they decide he was too American and leave him at a friends house or something? I don’t have time to rewatch the series but am definitely headed to Wikipedia in 3,2,1…

I remember watching scenes between Keri Russell and her and thinking how does she tolerate having to work with this awful kid?

I loved Paige. I only wish she got more screentime! She had one of the most interesting arcs of the show, and she made the internal growth/conflict convincing. Right up to the stunner ending!

Totally agree with this. And where do we think Paige is now?

What did happen to Paige? Main mystery of the ending I think.

He was at private school. The fed friend went to break the news to him, and it seemed he would take care of him.

Her overwhelming guilt wouldn't allow her to leave with her parents and abandon Henry. I imagine she would be detainedby the FBI, interrogated and released. However, she's unlikely to be charged with any crimes. She will likely wind up working for a non-profit out of the country after Henry adjusts to life with his "new" father.

The actor who plays Pastor Tim also plays Dollar Bill on Billions.

It has to be hard, though. Phillip, Elizabeth, Stan...all played by truly extraordinary actors.

Paige was supposed to be annoying. She was being a typical whiny American entitled teen.

They could have filed the role with someone who didn’t look like she was perpetually sucking a lemon.

Is this on Hulu? Guess I have to sign up for the Black Friday deal. With ads. Bummer.

It’s worth it to watch just to see Annet Mahendru’s nude scenes.

So strikingly beautiful!

What happened to Martha after the fall of the USSR. Did she ever go back to America?

No. She would have been arrested and locked up in the US.

Martha finds happiness in Russia. She adopted that adorable little girl and met her soulmate in the process—a lawyer who handled the adoption. They went on to have more children together. She built a career teaching English at a private school and eventually became the headmistress. The prestigious school caters to an international base along with wealthy Russian families. Her husband becomes a prominent judge and eventually gets pulled into tricky situations (think: government and mafia). Martha is well-equipped to help him navigate things until she is pulled into the fray and asked to spy on powerful families at her school. Some things never change.

I doubt it. The Russians gave her an orphan daughter - that seemed to be her wish.
