NP. I see your point, and I don't necessarily disagree with you.

But one way to look at this is that this monster is a little different in that he's educated. Many of these monsters, not all, are not. So the fact that he was pursuing a college degree in a STEM field is noteworthy (to me, at least).

It breaks to mold and can be an indicator that this poison has already penetrated broader swaths of white America than we'd like to believe.

It’s particularly enraging that these acts more and more are not a surprise and still these people are able to buy war weapons and high capacity magazines. This guy is 18 and apparently in June 2021, less than a year ago, his high school called the police because he had said to other classmates that he wanted to do a mass shooting at a graduation ceremony or st school and in general threatened violence. Police in estates snd then referred him to a mental health evaluation and counseling. So this was not out of the blue, this was a mentally troubled man who has been threatening violence and apparently there was no follow up and he was still able to buy weapons

There are pictures of his family with long guns at Christmas. Did he still live at home?
