Simply put, are you willing to die for Ukraine? How about your kids, you willing to send them to a war and die for Ukraine? I'll wait. |
Would people now be willing to die for Poland, France and victims of the Holocaust? Probably not. It's not about Ukraine; it's about people not caring about anything anymore. |
Are you nuts? You want to send your kid to war over Russia and Ukraine. Cause a devastation of the world?
Kill us all? |
DP. We just sent additional troops to Germany. Yes, we care. No, we don't intercede directly in every and all wars, but the moment Putin moves against a NATO country, he will be answered fully. And his erraticness and aggression is pushing more countries towards NATO. It's only Day Two but it's going very badly for Russia. |
Maybe people of Ukraine no longer care that much about keeping their current government and would rather surrender and allow Putin to put his puppets in charge again, just so that they can go back to their routines lives. I doubt much would change for them. If we start a real war with Russia (something we avoided for many decades for all the good reasons) then a massive WW3 will erupt that would likely have no winners. I don't think you or Ukranian citizens want this. I honestly have no idea how all this will end. There are many good scenarios that negotiations will work soon and bad scenarios verging on Putin invading the rest of Europe, which I would think is crazy because his own army probably would go against him on this. |
Maybe the sky is pink and unicorns graze on our lawns. Anything is possible. |
|
I think WW3 is probably inevitable, unfortunately. It's just a matter of when we want it to happen. |
Maybe you can read about it before being so stupid? It is not simple as that, not at all. And many agree that Ukraine started this BS with the pipeline BS and trying to hold Russia hostage to their prices. When powers speak, you shut up and listen. You know, like Serbia should have done, instead they got bombed, for a very simple reason, they did not listen to the World Power. |
I don't agree that people "don't care about anything anymore". But I am not willing to engage in a way that leads to war with Russia. Putin is psycho. There is much more at stake here than just Ukraine. And don't ask what "people" would be willing to die for. What would YOU be willing to die for. Are YOU willing to die for Ukraine or send your kids to do so? |
Peace in our time, right? |
This PP has forgotten that we just withdrew from Afganistan and gave up on their "dreams of democracy" while throwing our own people on the ground under the bus in a rather abrupt manner.. and helping start another horrible humanitarian crisis. |
If we're on the blame train, I blame Western Europe for financing Russia for years through gas purchases and simultaneously refusing to increase their own military budgets so they can defend themselves. |
^^ meant to say PP you are responding to, not you, you are right. Nobody in their right mind wants to start another war not to mention send their loved ones to risk their lives. I bet they don't even want to downgrade to a smaller less gas guzzling car or live in anything less than 4000 sq.ft. |
I don't have a car and live in 900 sq ft. Stop with the assumptions. |
