Can someone explain our Ukraine response?

OP, please look up the role Victoria Nuland played in destabilizing the region back in 2014. That small country has been anything but peaceful since then.

The POTUS that met off the record with Putin and destroyed the translator notes of that conversation? That one?

Let's figure out what we can do about the repression the people of Quebec are experiencing. They've been locked in their homes for two years now. It's repression and it's untenable. Invade Canada? Why not. They don't have nukes. Liberate the Quebecois! Post haste!

The point is we don't go around invading countries in Europe willy nilly. We will totally take over some, to quote a US President, "shithole country" because they don't have the capacity to kill our civilians in the US. The Soviet Union could kill us just as quickly as we kill them. It's more complicated to attack a powerful nation. It means we likely have to deal with a war on our soil. The US people have no historical memory of what that's like. Pearl Harbor was two isolated and too long ago to count.

What's happening with the Quebecois? I must have missed that.
What happened in Hong Kong was awful. I hate that noble countries respect rules when others don't.

About the Quebecois, I mean, I was joking, obviously. But what's been happening is that since COVID started they've had crazy strict restrictions on movement. They aren't allowed to visit neighbors in their homes at all (meaning no informal childcare), they've had very strict curfews meaning they can't walk or drive at night at all. Apparently the Quebec government hasn't communicated well about it at all and people are getting pretty fed up. I certainly would be if it were me. I mean, those kinds of restrictions are tolerable short term, but for two years of a pandemic without an explicit appropriate justification, I'd want a change.

Thank you! Might I mention that POTUS also met up for another meeting behind closed doors and when they came out he looked very defeated while Putin was grinning ear to ear. I would love to have been a fly (or translator) for that meeting.

Why break a window if the home owner leaves the door wide open? Trump was Putin's servant.

There is just no explanation, sadly.

I mean, other than the page full of explanations that came before this one. You should learn how to read.

Wait, is this POTUS related to the one who withheld Congressionally mandated military aid from Ukraine?

Why aren’t European countries/ NATO doing more to help Ukraine. I’m not saying it should be all down to the US. But I feel like we’re standing by watching as a Bully reeks havoc on the playground. It’s like a 5th grader picking on a Kindergartner and we are just watching it happen.

No, it’s the POTUS who bragged about sending javelin missiles to Ukraine but denied Ukraine the ability to deploy them and left them rusting in a warehouse in western Ukraine until Biden took over.
