This has nothing to do with being a free country. Not all viewpoints are valid just because people have them and we absolutely can and must deny platforms to those who hold opinions that are reprehensible, dangerous and misinform.

I don't understand the outrage. Ivermectin is used in other countries to treat covid, as well as malaria. Yes there is limited evidence of it's effectiveness and it needs to be properly studied. But why so much outrage? I don't get it.

I've listened to Joe Rogan for a while now. I like how he interviews people from both sides of the political aisle. I don't agree with some of the stuff he talks about especially conspiracy theories and UFOs. And I don't think the data shows Ivermectin to be an effective drug for covid. But I don't plan on cancelling him. I don't even have a Spotify account, you can just as easily listen to him on YouTube.

Because people believe they should not get vaccinated, then get sick and fill up the hospitals and overwhelm the health care workers, spread covid around and help it mutate. Kids are left without a parent when a 50 year old healthy person dies of covid because they would not get vaccinated. There are lots of cases like this here on the Colorado prairie where many people are not getting vaccinated and then getting really sick.

Pretty sure the Joe Rogans of the world would be the first to bleat about how the USA has the best medical care in the world. So why on Earth would we give a hoot with shithole countries do?

There are definitely some embarassingly stupid sheep involved in this controversy. They are the Rogan listeners who aren't sharp enough to figure out what he's doing with his conservative propaganda. I've listened to him, I think he's a disgusting moron. I'm not canceling Spotify because I'm on my adult son's account so I'll leave that decision up to him. As other PPs have pointed out, the irony of your characterization of those to choose to cancel Spotify is laughable. How is moving from Spotify to Apple Music sticking it to anyone?
