Youngkin and his AG help Trump cover up Jan 6 by retaliating against investigator from VA

Youngkin needs a catchy name for this tip line to report your fellow citizens.

Maybe the

Inappropriately

hotline?

Youngkin is making a pretty interesting gambit here: that the Virginians who voted for him neither pay attention to, nor keep up with the actual day to day of what his administration does.

I think he is correct, let’s see how it plays out.

It should be Isats. The Stasi reported people to the government. This is the other way around, people reporting the government. The horror of government accountability.

When you have to resort to kids as snitches, you have already lost.

This will be flooded with prank calls. Just overloaded. Happens every time.

Um, no, his job was to be counsel to the University, not to be a law professor. Try reading the article if you want anyone to take you seriously.

And “Professor Quixote” is not counseling the university if he’s ON LEAVE, tilting at a January 6th windmills full-time.

Fire his a$$ !

So you don't believe there was an insurrection and attempted coup on 1/6/21?

Boy, are you in for a surprise.

It’s if no concern. These positions answer to the AG. Just like with any other type of “at will” position to the AG, the AG gets to clean house and replace with like-minded individuals. The Dems do the same when they take office. Same thing happens at the federal level when a new party comes into power.

It is absolutely a cause for concern. This administration has already shown their willingness to completely overreach, so there is every reason to be concerned that they will try to interfere with Virginia’s public universities in other inappropriate ways, such as trying to dictate course curriculum.

This happens every time a new administration takes over, left or right. Learn your civics

No, silly! It's only cause for outrage when it's a REPUBLICAN administration taking over. Democrats can fire and hire whomever they wish.

Wow. Deliberately obtuse doesn't even begin to cover it ^^^.

It’s cause for concern when it’s atypical, and so obviously an attempt to retaliate against this employee for serving his country.

I agree with PP. He was hired by the Board of Visitors and in normal times would have been fired by them if they had a need to. I’m not sure if the new AG is open to a suit. As a Virginian I’m mad at the new guy wasting tax money by inserting himself into needless suits. We all pay.

I have a feeling the two university attorneys will land on their feet though. It’s an honor to be fired by a fascist; to be seen as a threat.

The Board of Visitors doesn't hire the university counsel. It's a political appointment by the Virginia AG. Herring appointed Heaphy.
