Do you have a hobby/hobbies?

Fermentation for beer? This sounds so interesting.

Just a few years ago I would have said that I play the violin, piano, and flute, read, cook, do some photography, refinish furniture, take the odd ballet class, and go to the theater. Lately I don’t have the energy to do anything at all. So no, I can’t say I have any hobbies right now. I should probably fix that.

I've done a lot of hobbies, but like you said I don't have the energy to do any of them, or will do something for 5 minutes and then lose interest. I love to read when I have a great book in front of me, but picking the next book throws me. I've done so many hobbies over my life (embroidery, sewing, jewelry making which I love but I don't wear jewelry, woodworking...). I realize looking back I enjoy a hobby for a period of time and then I'm done. Not sure how to spark the energy to create on a regular basis, but I know I'm healthier and more energetic if I use that part of my brain.

I'm sad that I don't really have a hobby. I'm good at working, though. But I want to retire early. Talk about irony.

Writing. I’ve written two novels, edited them until they were as good as I could make them, and submitted them to literary agents. I had a few requests to see the full manuscript, but no offers of representation. Now I’m about a third of the way through a first draft of a new novel.

I also read a lot.

Cat lady. My ds is in vet school and he got me into a cat foster program. I dote on my cats, buy them toys and accessories, and send my family and friends photos of them. I don’t know how this happened.

Primarily gardening and building stuff in the garden - I’m having fun learning how to build brick paths and steps right now. I also like making and cooking things that you usually buy, just for the heck of it. Cheese, bread, marmalade, fermented pickles.

Horseback riding. I love being at the barn taking care of the horses and shoveling manure. Keeps me happy 😃

Cricut and my friends know this and will ask me to make things for them, which I don't mind doing!

DH enjoys making plastic models and studying the Civil War.

PP here. I thought about brewing beer once but we did the math and just didn't find it worthwhile to start. Think other beverages like kombucha, kefir...

PP here, love it that you teach classes on this! Hope your online paid community works out well! What a great idea.

I quilt, paint, draw, hike, crochet, and needle felt.

I don’t think I’m known for my hobbies and these are things that I enjoy that help me de stress and clear my mind.
