What are your hobbies? How did it start? Are you known for this hobby? "...oh you remember Larla, she's the one that makes quilts..." Also, what defines a "hobby"? How is it different from just an activity that you enjoy doing (working out for example). |

Reading and gardening
I think a hobby is not a chore. It’s something you do to relax and clear your head. For some working out is a chore, for others, they enjoy and meditate during a hard workout |

I consider my hobbies to be reading, working out and travel.
A hobby is: an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure. |

I’ve been organizing photos and making photo books - a fairly long term project.
I’m taking a writing class soon - may lead to book writing. |
I work out regularly but I don’t know if I find it pleasurable or a chore. Guess that one depends on the person. I also do photo books, crochet, and make jewelry. But the hobby I’m known for is working with glass. |

I don't think I have traditional or niche hobbies, but I really enjoy and find time for:
- baking and cooking - talking long walks daily - watching tv, which I really value doing because I enjoy it - reading More like habits? My career is creative and enjoyable, so I am lucky that I don't really feel the need to devote time to a new hobby, because my career fulfills a lot of that need. |

OP here - interesting responses. So there are things that I enjoy doing but because I don't get to do them regularly I assumed that meant it wasn't a "hobby".
I love working out, and do it 6 days a week - so that's my main hobby. I enjoy reading, but don't do it as regularly as I'd like. Last year I read 13 books, this year, not one - mostly because I've gotten out of the habit of picking up a book on a daily basis. I also love TV. Important to note that i have one kid in college and one who just graduated. |

| Read, tennis, run, travel, cook, bake, and lately streamline my closet and sell what does not suit me. |
Covid aside, how often do you travel for pleasure - quarterly, or an annual big trip? |
| Reading, riding my bike, baking and giving myself manicures. |
| It used to be run/walking, working out, shopping, dressing nice, making goals for the future, etc. Now two years into the pandemic and deep in perimenopause and struggling with PMDD, it’s medicating myself with wine, distracting with Netflix, and picking up the pieces of my imploding marriage. |
Usually: annual big trip of about 10-14 days, annual 4-5 days warm in Jan-Early March, one local beach week in July, and then maybe 3-4 long weekends throughout the year. |
