+1. Governor Trump is trying to strip localities’ ability to make their own decisions on this based on local conditions, and instead put all control in Richmond’s hands. Classic Republican big government.

That’s not blaming the city of Richmond, it’s a reference to the state capital where the governors office is located. Just like how people will use “Washington DC” to refer to the federal government.

One really unfortunate reality is that years of fiscal responsibility under Democrats has handed Youngkin a sizeable surplus that will let him slash taxes while maintaining services. By the time the house of cards comes crashing down, he will be out of office and someone else will become the scapegoat when Richmond has to slash education and healthcare funding to cover Republican-created deficits.

DP. Amazon has enough invested in Northern Virginia that it will probably see the project through. But it wouldn’t surprise me if in a few years it opens a process to find HQ3 so it can phase out Virginia over time.

Apparently diversity, equity and inclusion have no place in the Youngkin administration.

They can make that choice but then the child can be disciplined for breaking a school rule. Do you see how this works?

Grew up in NOVA and gladly moved to MD when it came to buying our home and raising our children. Great schools, both private and public, diverse and open-minded population. Virginia has tried to leave the Confederate-loving, bumpkin identity behind, but it is obviously still there. But tell me more about those housing prices.
