I'm the one who posted that the intent may have been to indicate he thinks Kate is the opposite of boring. I didn't say that he was a good guy or should have done what he did. I agree, it's not how a mature adult breaks up with someone. I'm just noting what I think the writers' intent might have been, at least in part. Whether they succeeded or not, who knows. Maybe they also want us to hate him. Because they're achieving that as well. |
A mature woman doesn't demand a reason for why someone doesn't want to date her any longer. Has anyone ever told you why they were breaking up with you in a way that you found both enlightening and reassuring? People get dumped because the dumper has decided they don't like you enough to keep seeing you. |
I was thinking the same thing. |
I hope they end it like Six Feet Under but I suspect they will end it with mom’s death. |
Episode was so boring. Kinda can’t get into the Pearsons anymore. |
Randall has too many issues that don’t seem important to any of the stories. |
Such a compelling character at first but now my response to him is invariably "oh great it's drama queen Randall, sucking all the oxygen out of the room as usual." |

Exactly why I stopped watching. I was like "enough already". The last thing I remember is Beth and Randall fighting ("I can't chase my dreams when I have to stay here and manage your breakdowns" or something like that) and them selling the big house and moving to the city. |
That quote hit me hard when I heard it (only good part of the episode, IMO). I remember when my mom died and it felt like my world stopped but the rest of the world kept going. It was a lonely feeling. That quote nails it though. |
I was the triplets age for the Challenger, turning 43 this year. I didn't realize how "little" I was when I watched it, looking back on it. Made me sa little ad for my little self back then. |
Are these triplet actors new? I'm not a regular watcher of the show but don't recall these particular ones. |
Kevin looked new to me. |
It really did. |
They all looked new to me. |
