| Site is working just fine. I just uploaded results for 3 kids without any issues. |
Same here. |
DCPS should have planned at least a few central locations (fire stations if no school staff can work that late) this week that stayed open until 6 or 7pm to allow for working parents. It was a big fail and a slap in the face to working families. |
| DC doesn't care if you stay employed as a parent. They've shown that throughout the pandemic. |
Same. |
She’s a widow with a 1 year old. I don’t know how chipper I would be if my spouse had very recently died and I had a baby and a toddler. Are you one of those people who tells people in grief to get over it? |
What a stupid rule. So all things related to the test are supposed to be done 9-5? Who comes up with this stuff? Do they think everyone works from home?! Where’s the typical DCPS concern for equity? |

They were available from Firehouses over the weekend too. |
Confused why you waited until the last minute to get the rapids? They have been available almost every day for a couple of weeks now at several locations. Honestly not going to fault the mayor on this particular part of her running of the city. |
| The weekday tests at the library are from 12-8, but most sites run out well before 4-5pm. Seems like a solution would be for half the sites to open at 4pm. That would attempt to cover those that work business hours. |
Honestly these tests have been available on weekends at libraries and fire stations. FREE. I don't agree with this sentiment. There was no rule that the test HAD to be picked up at YOUR kid's school. That was yet another attempt to make access to tests easier for residents. Compared to the rest of the DMV, we have much better access to free testing. Not going to fault the mayor or city government here. There was plenty of notice and tests could have been picked up at any point over the last weekend. |
It has been stated many times that most reading sites are out of tests by 2pm, during business hours. So by time PP gets off work at 5, tests are gone. Why do you people or have compassion for the working class? Sure yesterday there were supposedly a few tests remaining at SE library but that’s after a week of tests being done by 2pm. You assume people have the time and resources to be connected to Twitter and know the one day that tests remained after 7 days of selling out? Like PP said, what happened to the equity DCUM always supposedly loves? |
It doeby matter. It’s not like the tests have a time stamp on it. You could pull one out of reach from two days ago and take a pic and send it. |
Dude - I am all for equity, and I think that the city has done a fabulous job making free rapid tests available to all. You know that kids who don't have tests will be tested at school when they arrive, right? Keep looking for reasons to be outraged, but honestly, COVID is one area where Bowser has really performed in a stellar fashion. |
