Do women do more or just complain more?

Yes, Hoover Dam and the Apollo program were built by lazy men.

The whole "men have done XYZ!" excuse doesn't fly.

You know *how* men have been able to do those things? Because other people do the "menial" tasks, freeing up men's time and energy to do those types of projects. If men didn't have women to handle running a household and caring for children, they would not have been able to devote nearly as much time to work. My dad was a CEO and president of a company, but had to step down once my mom left because there was no way he could run a company and raise children.

Also, research HAS shown that men are lazier than women at work. When women are present, men stop volunteering for tasks because they assume women will do it. This has been shown over and over in research. Women also often have to work harder to prove themselves. It gets even worse once children are involved, women have to do work far above and beyond to show that kids won't affect their work so they don't get mommy-tracked. Not so with fathers, because they have wives to handle the kids for them.

And you know what some of those "projects" were? Washing machines, vacuum cleaners, scheduling applications, ovens, dish washers, garbage disposal.

Your whole purview is just too myopic. Do you want a trophy or something?

Wait, women shouldn’t complain about doing more housework because it allows men to invent items so they can do MORE housework?

Like, it’s really not that hard. Data shows women - yes, even working women - spend 2 more hours a *day* on childcare and housework. Men gotta step it up. Unless you’re saying men can’t handle an extra hour of work at home?

If men are SO mentally and physically exhausted from having to do a bit of extra cleaning on top of their Big Boy Inventor jobs, their wives definitely need to put an end to sex. Wouldn’t want to wear out the poor babies any further.

Kids used to just be let out of the house to do whatever they wanted until dinner time. Parents had their own little lives. Now most kids’ lives are hyper-structured. Women are largely responsible for this.

My experience is actually the exact opposite of this. Men don’t refuse to participate in the insanity, they exclusively participate in those activities. Men who otherwise don’t really participate in family life will coach the sport, go to the game, help with the project, or watch the play.

And also some are apparently too lazy to read the entirety of a five-word sentence…

Gets a little tiring building dams and putting people on the moon. But go ahead, keep complaining about driving the kids to the soccer game or setting the table.

NP here (and a woman who is a rocket scientist). Women actually contributed to these things, but men downplayed their role or stole credit. I work with a ton of men, unsurprisingly, and one common theme is the extent to which they overestimate their contribution and their aptitude.

That’s a very good point.

1000% certain the above poster neither built a dam nor had anything to do with the Apollo project.

…unlike many women who did, didn’t get credit for doing so, were paid less than their male colleagues and still expected to do all of the domestic lifting.

Yeah those kids should drive themselves home from aftercare and take themselves to the doctor and dentist. And of they want milk they should buy it themselves, instead of having mommy do it for them, which is just making extra work that women should be blamed for.

If someone in your household has to make preparations and decide whether or not to make a list of things that need to be done when they go out of town, that person is doing more.

If someone can go out of town, and no one really notices their absence, that person is doing less (day to day).

Lol can you imagine the tantrum a man would throw if he knew somebody was paid more or if he didn’t get applause and a blow job for every little thing he did?

OP this should shed a lot of light on your question. Men don’t think that childrearing and housework is real work, so they don’t prioritize it. But really this question is easily found on google. And no the disparity is not because of women having standards that are too high. Research has been done on that too.

Can you imagine the cooperation and adoration women would get if they just stopped trying to micromanage the people and the rest of the world around them?

I would, but you’re not the kind of man who can build a dam.

What makes you think women want the adoration of a bunch of rando dudes? I’d rather be around men who are competent and don’t need micromanaging.

I can imagine more people would be living in filth and more kids would be hungry, wearing old outgrown clothes, and have worse teeth for not getting to tye dentist.
