I Suppose pro life, pro second amendment didn’t make the approved list. |
LOL That is perfect. I would totally do this if we were rich enough to have my kids attend CCES. |
Such hypocrisy. Who ‘approves’ the causes? What if a parent wants to send their Kindergartener to participate in support for the NRA. Are they going to send her home? |
Of course they will. |
We actually are a family of horror fans! Age appropriate horror for the kids (goosebumps, tales from the crypt). I'd be pissed if they canceled halloween. It's the best holiday! |
You could do a really gory "victims of gun violence" costume. |
And an abortion one too |
| My child is at CCES and we haven’t received any such flyer. We did receive an email this afternoon to support the cheetah fund that notes that it goes in part to Halloween parties. |
Yes. I listen to a Podcaster who talks about "turning constraints into opportunities." What possibilities does this new restriction open up that were not otherwise possible? You could go as "climate change" and dress like a burn victim. Or protest nuclear waste by affixing a third eye and using green paint. Change is inevitable, but your reaction to it is YOUR CHOICE. Indeed, the only thing you can control. |
Ooh that was a badly timed email. |
| Another CCES family who has not gotten any notice of Halloween's cancellation. We do get plenty of solicitations for money. |
| Please post the original email. |
We also haven’t been notified. Assumed Halloween parties were on — they even did them last year in virtual school. -CCES family |

The teacher doesn’t even know who made the decision or how. I don’t want to post the original email out of concern for the teacher, who is great.
Also, who actually thinks elementary school kids have causes that aren’t their parents. And yes, pro-life vs pro-choice, 2nd amendment are all examples of causes. |
