I don’t know! Will be following closely— I’ve been loving this show.

I just chuckle when I see Danny Strong’s name.

He’s Jonathan the nerd from Buffy!

I know, he’s super writer/producer now, but he will always be Jonathan to me

It’s so infuriating that this family is still one of the richest in the world…riches built on destroying lives.

Not only them, but the lack of oversight and presence of corruption. I caught the part where the FDA lawyer talked about Reagan gutting the FDA. This is the result of smaller government, folks. Notice how Germany avoided this.

Giuliani getting involved (slimy), DOJ not wanting to prosecute executives.

It's actually hard to watch in some ways as you see good, dedicated public servants doing their jobs and just being pushed aside.

But yeah, the Sacklers. I have...thoughts.

I can't wait for the last episode when they wrap it all up and everyone lives happily ever after. Right?!

Love this show so much.

I definitely cried in the last episode. I love how they have turned Betsy's parents, who were so intolerant and awful in the early episodes, into sympathetic, real people with depth.

+1 That's my favorite part of the show. It's also interesting to see how much the lawyers, mostly Rick, and Bridget have to compromise in their personal lives in pursuit of justice. Meanwhile, the Sacklers are just living life.

All of the performances are so good. I love this show.

It’s really heart wrenching seeing this family’s pain and seeing how easily this could happen to any family. Betsy got a workplace injury which ultimately led to her addiction and death.

It really was nice witnessing her family’s growth from intolerance to empathetic; I feel that the father had already prepared himself mentally for her death.

I can't believe they owned Liberty, White Tail, and Round Top and that I gave them money.

The bolded is so true an reminds me of this real life story:

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2018/11/narcotics-cop-loses-his-daughter-heroin-overdose/575425/ - Narcotics cop loses his daughter to heroin overdose.

In this last episode I found myself incredibly grateful that oxy for children never became a thing. That was a horrifying idea.

Pffffffff

You all are mad. Watched Dopesick and it doesn't even scratch the surface. You really all gotta read Pharma by Gerald Posner. Posner did an INSANE level.of research and discovered never before known links between the sacklers and all sorts of advertising/shady hidden businesses. Dopesick only scratches the surface. It is far worse after you read the book. Pharma once even wire tapped members of Congress in order to gain a leg up on them during testimonies. The sacklers had their hands in everything and even once controlled something like 40% of the entire funding of the AMA. You can't really understand Purdue Pharma and the opioid epidemic until you really understand how purdue came into power with so much money in the first place. The sacklers actually acquired their power and wealth mostly through advertising, which you only learn by following Arthur Sackler. It is all covered in the book:

Her mother at the protest! I thought they were using archival footage until they zoomed in on the floor.

They may have interspersed some archival footage with their version
