Posner did an INSANE level.of research and discovered never before known links between the sacklers and all sorts of advertising/shady hidden businesses. Dopesick only scratches the surface.   It is far worse after you read the book.  Pharma once even wire tapped members of Congress in order to gain a leg up on them during testimonies. The sacklers had their hands in everything and even once controlled something like 40% of the entire funding of the AMA.  You can't really understand Purdue Pharma and the opioid epidemic until you really understand how purdue came into power with so much money in the first place. The sacklers actually acquired their power and wealth mostly through advertising, which you only learn by following Arthur Sackler. It is all covered in the book:
