Not true. |
Sometimes the first and second teams also get rec parent coaches and people who have never coached before!!!! |
If they are hiding their coach assignments, no way to know how unqualified their hires might be. |
It's somewhat accurate, but if all the kids are making progress, that team should definitely rise in the division/standing or at least be among the top 2-3 teams out of 8-10/12 or more teams. In response to others' comments, the first and second teams participate in more tournaments and frequently play up in age groups or down in divisions for the lower-level teams. My child is plays in PA team. We don’t pay for the tournaments we guest play in. Valor was very different. |
If you have a kid at Valor that isn’t being moved up this year, it might be time to rethink. With the number of kids leaving it’s opening up spots for kids to move up even if they haven’t really improved. If your kid isn’t moving up then it probably means they *really* are not meaningfully improving. |
As much as a kid can be improving, the kids on higher teams improve at faster rate, so no, there are no openings on top teams unless someone leaves. Even then, most of the times they just replace the kids with an outsider |
That's assuming there are a bunch of decent outsiders who tried out... would not assume that for some age groups. They're having to pull up from lower teams to fill rosters. |
| No one leaves another club to go to Valor. Its a one way door exit only. Their only source of fresh players are their rec leagues. |
False statement. My DC’s team has two from outside clubs. |
I know of two different teams with kids from other clubs. Why do people insist on lying like this? Is it they just don’t know (thus too stupid to check before putting out wrong info) or just lying (with complete bad intentions)? |

+1
And before you come back with some stupid argument of only two out of however many teams in Valor- it’s the only two teams that I personally know. I don’t know all of the other teams. |
Its hyperbole. No one except the Valor stooge who posts here knows where every kid on every team comes from. How would someone even "check" that? Why does it bother you so much? |
|
I am familiar with 6 teams, either because my kids play on them or because my friends have a kid on them. They all have players from outside of Valor adding to their teams for next year.
How do they know? Simple. They asked the coach (to be fair, some of them are team managers so it is a logical thing to ask). My son's team only lost one player. |
| Valor has sent out the rosters for next season for all their teams? |
| "Outside of Valor" is likeky cya and sya rec. |
