All I hear is people yelling "I'm a lawyer" in their best Harvey Levin voice and think everyone should bow down. |
The funny thing here is that Baldoni is notoriously, famously insecure and if Lively had reached out to her trainer and asked what Baldoni weighs because she was concerned about him injuring her during one of their DV scenes, he would have openly wept about it. |
yes you are being outclassed. It’s quite desperate. I’d be feeling pretty good about it if I were Baldoni’s team. |
But people are scared he won't ever work again! Think of the wife and babies! They seem pretty insecure about his case. |
are you a lawyer? Feel free to cite some case law in the relevant jurisdiction where asking about someone’s weight that relates to a job duty is sexual harassment. Particularly when the ask was not made directly to the person. |
That's because the Baldoni bros got mad earlier in the thread when some actual lawyers weighed in to point out basic things likes that Baldoni has to prove actual malice in his case against the NYT or that at this stage there is no way to know which narrative, Lively's or Baldoni's, will prevail in the case because none of us has the facts. So now a bunch of them will just say "by the way, I'm a lawyer" to try and give their trolling validity. So now it's devolved into "I'm a lawyer" and "No, I'm a lawyer" and "we're all lawyers here" while people spout nonsense that clearly indicates they are not, in fact, lawyers (or if they are, they are very bad ones). It's comical. |
My what a busy lawyer we have here! Spends all day trying to impress Urban mommies with her legal skills since nobody will actually hire her to play one in real life. |
There was some pretty good, detailed discussion about the NYT case. Consensus was (me included, a “Baldoni bro”) that there is no real case there. Some maybe legitimate disagreement about whether the NYT will settle. and some gallows humor about this being the vehicle to undo Sullivan. Again this is DCUM and so probably has the highest concentration of very well trained lawyers of any anonymous message board commenting on celebrity matters, ha ha. |
Well Ryan Reynolds has shut down comments on Instagram, so Baldoni's strategy seems to be getting to sexy Ryno. |
cool, so where are the case cites again? I actually do want to read them. |
They would be news to you, that's for sure. |
You mean Baldoni's strategy of astroturfing negative stories about Lively online so that the truth about his inappropriate and misogynistic behavior on the set of the movie never comes to light. Yes, that strategy has been very damaging. That's the whole point. |
| I think every lawyer on this board has seen a losing side resort to all types of histrionics to try to distract from the lack of factual support for their claims. So it is particularly amusing to see the Blake supporter pull out all the stops this morning and think her posts are the least bit persuasive, and that includes the gratuitous and frequent insults. |
Different lawyer poster and it would be news to all of us because it so clearly doesn’t exist. |
"The" supporter. Y'all are too much. The fake lawyer(s) think they are so smart but don't know how an anonymous message board works. Which is odd since they spend most of their "working" hours here. |
