Not sure what you're trying to say, but the important thing to understand is that Devlin Barrett is a Trump mouthpiece. This is coming from the Trump camp and, for one reason or another, they think it helps them.

It's pretty strange if the Trump camp thinks that revealing sensitive information about China and Iran helps them -- in what universe is this helpful?

And you're positing that Devlin Barrett wrote this story in order to hide the fact that Trump revealed nuclear secrets to our adversaries?

In what universe does this revelation preclude the idea that Trump in fact did reveal nuclear secrets (for a price, one can only assume) to our adversaries?

It's all bad for Trump.

I don't know the specific reasons, but some theories:
- They know it's coming out anyway, so it's better to get it out now during a time when many other things are in the news. That way, when it shows up in an indictment they can claim it is old news.
- They can blame the FBI and DOJ for leaking.
- They are signaling to potential witnesses about what is in the documents so they can get stories straight.
