The prosecutors had to write a 6455 word doc overnight to meet the 6am deadline, according to the NYT: "Setting an unusually aggressive schedule, the appeals court ordered the government to respond to Mr. Trump’s request for a stay by 6 a.m. on Wednesday. Prosecutors complied, filing a 6,455-word submission before dawn."

That is incredible. I've never heard of such a fast briefing schedule. They aren't going to let him drag this out with endless appeals this time.

The federalist society judges will rule for trump. This is the whole point of the federalist.

This panel includes zero Federalist Society judges.

Show me the man, I’ll show you the crime. So Stalinesque.

There’s a point at which you need to look at the left and wonder what they are so afraid of.

So will Corcoran be going to prison?

People are finding gifts to the country that Trump stole in random closets in other Trump resorts. Why haven’t all of his properties been searched for these gifts as well as presidential documents?

“Just last week, the artwork was listed as one of about 100 gifts from foreign governments, worth over $250,000 in total, that went missing after Mr. Trump vacated the White House, according to a report released by Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability.

The Democrats want all the unaccounted for items handled in accordance with U.S. law. To prevent the bribery of or undue influence over U.S. government officials, any gifts from foreign nations worth over $415 must be reported to the State Department.”

Seems unlikely. It looks like Trump lied to him about stealing the classified documents.

This should be prosecuted (but probably won’t be!) but it’s also just pathetic. What a low intelligence, pathetic person.

Giving Trump a portrait of himself is entrapment. He’s a narcissist who habitually engages in criminal activity, doesn’t know or care about laws, regulations, rules, etiquette or even social norms. No one has ever held him accountable for his misdeeds. Of course he took the portrait.

“Justice Department and FBI investigators have amassed fresh evidence pointing to possible obstruction by former president Donald Trump in the investigation into top-secret documents found at his Mar-a-Lago home, according to people familiar with the matter.
The additional evidence comes as investigators have used emails and text messages from a former Trump aide to help understand key moments last year, said the people, who like others interviewed for this article spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing criminal investigation.”

^^^

Investigators now suspect that boxes including classified material were moved from a Mar-a-Lago storage area after the subpoena was served, and that Trump personally examined at least some of those boxes.

Obstruction has a 20-year maximum sentence.

You've got to wonder how much he had stowed at other clubs.

It would be very much him to do that.

You have to wonder what Trump was so afraid they will find.

Speaking as a leftist, I am afraid of authoritarians.
