| What happened to "nobody cares" and "stop tracking players"?? |
And yet every attempt to find out what rosters are never really seems to be shared. In time they will be posted and you will have your answers. And if you are a FCV coach, and want to know why not just go and observe a Spirit or Arlington practice like you did for every DA's ID session to see which one of your kids went? |
Umm, maybe my fault. I didn't include the OP. Someone was demanding to know Spirit roster size but the consensus seems to be: why do you care and keep asking? So I meant to say: why do you need a "yes" or "no" or "number" on Spirit roster size, not that I want you to tell me. As someone else pointed out, if you are on that team, you have seen your roster. I don't need answers, nor do I want them. We are happy with our choice. |
Are you a Spirit parent? If so, tell me exactly how many kids are on your DD's roster. I'll wait |
| Who is this joker who keeps "demanding" to know about Spirit rosters? It's kind of creepy |
|
I am the OP on roster size. The reason I brought it up was because I heard "rumors" that Spirit was continuing with their plus size rosters in spite of the standard 18-20.
I only asked one simple question. Is it true or not? A Arlington and FCV parent gave an exact number of kids on their DD's roster. Why cant a Spirit poster do the same? Why so secretive? Is it 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35. Roster size is a huge issue when it comes to development. So I am curious. |
Tell me exactly why you need to know. Never mind, Ill tell you. The amount that is allowed. |
| I am a Spirit parent, and I already answered. We have 20 on our roster. Move on. |
| (assuming no one ends up playing up of course, which a couple may, as they are very talented) |
You do realize the Spirit has an EDP team, right? There are 03/04 pool players with DP designation. DA rosters are limited to 22 max. Last year Spirit was given flexibility as they were a start up. Although, they handled the large roster well as numerous people have stated. |
It is 15, no wait 27, actually likely 22 but it could be 20 but most likely 19 but I wouldn’t bet against 21 either. |

^^^^
So even when we answer you, you are not satisfied. No shocked, just goes to show creepy guy just has an agenda... |
|
US Soccer has a maximum of 22. Spirit has said it will not go above 20. So far, Spirit has always done what it said it will. So whoever is starting these rumors should find another rumor to spread.
How about we demand to know what club creepy guy is from that this is such a critical issue for him? |
I fixed the question for you. This might yield better results: “Are you a Spirit parent? If so, tell me exactly how many kids are on your DD's roster. THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!! I'll wait” |
Very talented: As in better then their competition / better then the older kids / both? If 20 is the real roster size (I'm truly hearing its more), then two kids must sit out per game (18 can dress). If you bring up one younger kid, then 3 older kids must sit. Even with 18 players, 11 start and 7 sit the bench. FCV and Arlington appear to understand the politics and went with smaller roster sizes so at least the entire team can dress and get minutes. By the way: FCV doesn't need to recruit. Their winning records is the recruitment tool. Take note: If you want to attract top players, start winning. PS: Not a FCV parent. |
