This truly is appalling. I have no expert analysis and the signature is his. I’ve never seen a signature less varied. From WaPo for those who can’t see it:

It's just self-preservation. If they had voted for the release of the files, they would be subjected to Trump's swift and fierce revenge--personal attacks on social media followed by threats to primary them.
