Virginia Foxx said one week ago she would not do this. Then she did. I plan to call her office to ask what they’re hiding all of a sudden.

Here is the name of every Republican who voted to block the Epstein Files Transparency Act on Tuesday.

Virginia Foxx—North Carolina

Michelle Fischbach—Minnesota

Ralph Norman—South Carolina

Chip Roy—Texas

Nicholas Langworthy—New York

Austin Scott—Georgia

H. Morgan Griffith—Virginia

Brian Jack—Georgia

Thank you!!

It's just self-preservation. If they had voted for the release of the files, they would be subjected to Trump's swift and fierce revenge--personal attacks on social media followed by threats to primary them. GOP senators and representatives live under Trump's reign of terror and there's not much they can do to fight back unless they all act together. But that's never going to happen.

So what? You do the right thing and roll with the punches from the loser, even if it means losing your seat. That's what it means to be a leader. Why run if you can't handle negative press?

Because it's not just negative press. It's also career destruction, death threats, and possibly worse.

This is what Lisa Murkowski said: At a conference in Anchorage, Murkowski admitted, “We are all afraid. It’s quite a statement. But we are in a time and a place where I certainly have not been here before. And I’ll tell you, I’m oftentimes very anxious myself about using my voice, because retaliation is real. And that’s not right.”

Then call it out and do the right thing. Otherwise, we are just another fascist, authoritarian state. Elected leaders were put in to office to lead. Not cower to a weak wannabe.

He put out a statement a couple of days ago lamenting the state of the country.

Despicable. Too bad he didn’t consider how his many actions paved the road for Trump.

Anonymous wrote:Why can't we see the entire "Birthday Book"?

There is a link to the entire document on the House Oversight Committee website.

In the index to the book, https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1ZSVpXEhI7gKI0zatJdYe6QhKJ5pjUo4b

What are the names of the two Friend contributors that are blacked out?

One comes alphabetically between Black and Brunel. The other comes between Rosovsky and Wexner.

PP here -- Ha, I'm slow! Obviously the second blackout is Trump.

Actually, Trump's name is listed there right before Rosovsky, out of alphabetical order. So it's somebody else.

Oh right! On what grounds does someone other than victims merit redaction?

Perhaps somebody who was underage at the time, or maybe a "friend" that is also considered a victim?
Obviously the names listed under CHILDREN have all been redacted, but I feel so sorry for whatever kids wrote the stuff in this book. It's so f'ed up.

I can’t get this photo out of my mind. Trump didn’t keep little Ivanka away from Epstein.

I hope Ivanka breaks her silence. Her dad is an obvious pedo who probably leveraged her innocence to these men (and maybe to himself).

At the US Open, hTrump's granddaughter, Arabella age 14, did not want to sit next to her grandfather even though her father Jared told her to sit next to her pedophile grandfather. What is wrong with her parents?

Every single one if the adult trumps is a monster imo but you should stop mentioning a minor by name.

In addition to the enigma/gamine anagram, “wonderful secret” is an anagram of “(c-word) deflowerers”. Trump is obviously too stupid to have come up with this on his own, but Ghislaine Maxwell, as the daughter of a British man with ties to the intelligence community, would have been well versed in code words. It was probably Trump and Epstein’s little inside joke.

This begs the question of who they bought off for $22,500?

Who do we call to demand this?

Members of Congress. Keep calling them.

I am grateful for the woman who experienced Epstein’s horror who spoke out last week.

I hope more do the same.

And probably many others who were “bought off.”

Trump doesn’t have the mental flexibility to do an anagram even if it was explained to him at length. According to the cast of snl when he hosted he is a genuinely marginal reader. also, there is no way that dumb-f knows the word gamine.

It’s incriminating in obvious, shameless ways and implying there are also secret ways undermines our credibility.

It can be both at the same time. Even if Trump isn’t smart enough to come up with it on his own, twenty years ago he still had the mental faculties to appreciate the wink-wink once explained to him.

Both of those phrases stick out as extremely odd, too odd to be taken at face value. What does “enigmas never age” mean if not in reference to the girls?

He drew a 12 year old's breasts. There's no need to parse his words. The meaning and intent was picture clear.

Well, you’ve got people claiming it’s an adult, and that’s not his signature, and he didn’t draw it, so everything is getting parsed.

This is just additional ick from the smoking gun. Nobody is claiming it should be the main focus of anything.

It doesn’t matter if the writings are Trump‘s or if they were fake. What the book shows is that Jeffrey Epstein was a psychopathic pedophile and everyone around him knew that and said hey it’s cool. I’m gonna still hang out with this guy. And the fact is that Trump was friends with Epstein. Writing in the book is irrelevant. Take the book in totality of what it says about Jeffrey Epstein what type of person he is and then look at all the people who hung around with him. Trump is one of them that means he’s a freaking creep. And yeah, Bill Clinton too.

Totally. The book is absolutely ridiculous — those messages from “rich and powerful” are worse than from “dumb and dumber”. For a 50th birthday?! For 15th that would be too idiotic and crude…

Members of the House are elected a for two-year term not for life. They swear allegiance to the US Constitution and to protect it against all enemies to foreign and DOMESTIC. Trump is the the biggest threat this country has ever had. He is a traitor and every member of the House and Senate and the six conservative a$$kissing justices of the supreme Court are also traitors. Every single one should be tried for treason and face the penalty of treason.

Not if they work for Bezos Washington Post. The WaPo just ran an article that sows doubt on the validity of the signature and provided blatant cover for MAGA. The post is all-in for Trump. They are truly shameless.

Revolting. We cancelled our sub in November after decades.

I cancelled mine last year when Bezos refused to allow the Post to endorse Harris
