Is Prince William jealous of Harry and Meghan's popularity?

She was made to wait for William for 10+ years, asked to give up whatever career or personal ambitions she may have had, changed her friend group, her family and their social status criticized, was at the receiving end of multiple humiliating breakups until she finally married William.

It must be super insulting to her to see Meghan just saunter into the Palace, get approval from the Queen and be fawned over in the media in addition to have Harry follow her around like a puppy. I would not be surprised at all if Kate is jealous and resentful.

I find it totally believable that she and Meghan don't get along that well. They are obviously very different people. Meghan never would have waited around for 10 years, through several humiliating public breakups and him expressing a wish to date other women, for a man to put a ring on it. She got that shit locked down in less than a year! LOL

Aside from that though, you can tell from their press photos together that they're not close friends who are easy with each other's company. There's a sense of distance between them. I highly highly doubt that they get into "cat fights" but I would 100% believe that they make bitchy comments about each other behind their backs to trusted confidants. I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear what Kate says about Meghan when it's just her and Pippa or maybe Carole in a room together!

I would also be willing to bet that Kate did next to nothing to reach out to Meghan and help her adjust to the palace rules and etiquette and weird family conventions, etc. She doesn't seem like a girls' girl at all to me. She is almost never seen with any female friends. There has to be a reason for that. I'm sure she justified it to herself that no one helped her with those things so why should she put herself out for the new girl.

Kate has never struck me as a girls girl either. She is always attached to Pippa, her mom and then following around William. Its interesting that prior to meeting William there are tons of photos of her hanging out with girlfriends but after being his girlfriend her socialization changed. I don't know if other girls were jealous of her status as the girlfriend of Prince William or she was so caught up in keeping him happy that she neglected any personal interests or friendships...her social life revolved around William.

She has had to make a lot of sacrifices, be thoroughly vetted and tested in order to attain her title and status today. Even now, she only seems to socialize with Carole, her mom, her children and William.

Compared to this...Meghan is a total girls girl, a jetset babe and a strong career woman. I won't be surprised if she thinks little of Kate's laziness and Kate is probably threatened by Meghan's sheer force of will.

I don't have anything against Meghan, but she does have a history of dumping lifelong friends and close friends each time something better comes along, including her best friend from girlhood who was in her wedding.

Meghan is almost 2 decades older than Kate was when she began her relationship with Will.

Kate was a teenager.

Meghan is approaching middle aged.

There would be something very wrong with almost 40 year old Meghan if she showed the same level of competence from the start of it as teenage Kate did.

*rolls eyes* Kate married Wills at 30 - 7 years ago. Tell us - where has her ‘competence’ been since then? Never mind the fact that she had 10 full years prior to marriage to learn the ropes.

She got the same as Kate - I call that a win. A beautiful countryside manse to raise her babies in with 10 bedrooms, a multi-million pound renovation, and all in under six months. I bet she’s excited for 2019.

Frogmore Cottage looks significantly smaller than Anmer Hall. Reportedly will only be 5 bedrooms after renovations. Not very impressive compared to other royal homes.

Kate’s apparent reluctance to embrace her duties as enthusiastically as she might was recently demonstrated when she declined to be interviewed for a landmark documentary about the queen, saying she was on maternity leave.

I shouldn't be surprised by this but I am! She is sooo lazy! She can't even be bothered to make some nice comments about The Queen of England, whom she knows personally, for an important documentary.

This has been par for the course for the past 17 years. Lazy Katie and work-shy Wills are 37, almost 40 now and just fine new excuses every year.

Charles will be the last reigning king. William is too lazy and shy to handle the job and the people will not tolerate such nonsense on their pound.

William will be king, he gets the better digs. Harry is less relevant with each birth and has the luxury of choosing what he wants to pursue with regard to charities. It is a big enough house and perfect for them.

I don't read anything into the comparative size with Anmer Hall at all. Harry is the younger son, and William's family includes the next two in line after Charles. It's normal. I think after the debacle the Queen had with Andrew/Fergie's Sunninghill Park house, Harry and Meghan aren't expecting anything other than a comfortable, well-appointed home with some privacy.

I also think that Charles is much more plugged into media coverage than Will is. There was a recent documentary for Charles birthday where he basically says that he makes much more of an effort with the press than the younger royals.

How come both these women (Kate and Meaghan) so stunning? And how come both these Princes are so dashing?

I love watching both the couples. Just so happy that Harry gets to be a dad too very soon. It will be a very healing and calming experience for him.

Andrew is such a tosser. If he wasn’t the Queen’s son he’d have been in jail long ago - underage girls, complete ruin of a new 12-bedroom mansion, his wife selling access, and connections to terrorist funding Central Asian + Saudi moguls. A complete disgrace.

Exactly but somebody is trying real hard here to say everything Meghan gets is the same or better than Kate and that's just..... not the case. For obvious reasons.

Kate learned the ropes as she was told.

Meghan tries to cut, walk around, or look beyond the ropes every chance she can get. She’s not satisfied being what the want her to be. She seems more like an American politician’s wife (or politician herself).

So you're saying she's intelligent, a go-getter, and savvy then? Also FYI you don't have to cut the ropes when the Queen gives you the go-ahead. It's called recognizing a fast learner.

Here's the Queen doing her first televised speech to the entire Commonwealth at the age of 31.

That's a whole lot of contorted logic. Meghan is confident, diligent and dynamic. That's why she's been sent out on her own so quickly. Kate has taken baby steps now for more than a decade. I think after their "marriage pact" the Queen was alarmed enough herself that Kate didn't have any passion or purpose and had to push her to get involved in some quiet charity work.
