Yes, it would seem they don't understand. I would hope people could empathize, but I suppose not. I'm sorry too, for your experience. It's impossible not to relive the situations watching this. |
It's anxiety. I do that whenever I have a bigger-than-usual presentation - highly embarrassing! The principal of my child's elementary school sometimes does that too during her speech at Back-to-School-Night because it's the only time of the year she has to address the entire parent community. I'm sure she's self-conscious about it too! |
+1 Yup, we have him on video saying that. And last night, he says that's why he has sympathy for Kavanaugh. Rotten birds of a feather. |
SJC (Senate Judiciary Committee) not scj (Supreme Court Justice). I do it too, so not being snarky. Just explaining what PP meant. |
1. Even if she is faking, look at the message we are sending our kids and the world. We don't believe women. We put men's careers first.
2. It's astonishing the many people posting what they have done or would do if in her place. I bet you they're the same people who said don't judge those who don't help others when they're being stabbed in the street because you wouldn't know who they'd react. 3. You need to ask yourself, why are you so quick to defend a man you don't know, whose motives and secrets you don't know, over a woman who you also don't know. Is it because you too might have assaulted someone and hope to discredit them? Or are you part of the group of women who thinks women being assaulted is no big deal? You need to ask yourself why the $uck that is. |
Wow, she's covering her bases. She needs to read her own letter for accuracy? And is CORRECTING IT??
|
Agree |
No. What a stupid thing to say! The standard in a court of law comes down to credibility and I think in this case will be too. Ask any litigator. Ever heard of character witnesses? Think no one gets convicted or is guilty because no hard evidence. Get real. Who cries the most? |
Wait, wait. Your perspective is changing. You said you think she has ulterior motives. I asked what those could be and you said she's mentally unwell. So she's mentally incapacitated (which, of course, she doesn't appear to be while testifying today), but she *also* has a specific plan and agenda? |
They are. They contacted them numerous times, no avail. |
Yes, because already they are putting her on the defensive. Why didn’t the prosecutor provide exhibits in advance? |
We can only pray that we have evolved and matured, but I am not too sure. Grassley has all but said that this hearing is perfunctory and that they were voting tomorrow. Where's Mark Judge? |
The prosecutor seems very impatient. |
Now you are just making up crap to throw at her. Just get a FBI investigation? Oh wait, it will show he has perjured himself multiple times...? yep. |
I am about the same age and grew up in the area. It was routine for parties to come together spontaneously or kids from one school to go to another school party. I went to scores of parties through high school at people's houses who I didn't know personally. |
