| How would a TC Mom know who Mr. L is? Also, I think he actually shielded us from some of the d-baggery I've seen this year. But it is becoming more of a public school club and you're not going to see those kids go to the more expensive private name colleges. |

Not a TC Mom and not happy with us getting stuck practicing over an hour away very late on a school night with young kids. Whoever was supposed to take his place reserving the fields really dropped the ball and it will hopefully be different in the spring or else you'll see even more kids leaving. Prob not for TC because that's about where our practices were somewhere in Burkeville or whatever, but many of us have been keeping an eye on the closer newer teams. |

| Fake VLC mom. The team moved practice location? From GMU to GMU? Also, players are in for a year. They do not move teams in the Spring. No kids are leaving for Cav and Evergreen. |

Glad your kid's grad year got two GMU practices -- that's what we had last year -- but we only got Sundays at GMU. We are at some random county field during the week. Late at night on a school night. Over an hour from home. Obviously talking about switching next year. Lots of new teams forming with strong coaches. |

I think VLC ideally would like to have practices start earlier - will see what they do for spring. But since you're already talking with this inconvenience w. your kid, you're absolutely free to jump ship for a more convenient scenario that gets your kid tucked into bed earlier. Hopefully you see the benefits outweigh the costs over a past scheduling issue (or hey, you can miss one practice a week if it's that big a deal e.g. like kids who miss for football) |

LOL the idea that VLC is losing players to Evergreen is STILL laughable.
What d-baggery did you see this year, and how did Mr. L stop it? I frankly haven't even noticed any effect from the departure of Mr. L.
Eh, I didn't like those late Burke practices, but it's not going to make me leave. Hard to understand how you're OK with 90 minutes each way to HoCo every week during the spring season plus all the out-of-state tournaments in the Fall and Summer, but 45 minutes to Burke once a week for two months in the Fall is enough to drive you off the team. But, you do you. |

You've got a lot to say in that one post and it's not all from one person, so I'll just address the fact that HoCo games and the tourneys are part of the package. Those weeknight practices were poor planning and could have been done better.
Hopefully for everyone things will turn around in the spring as I'm sure they're just figuring everything out with the departure of someone who did a lot of work for them. And I'm sure no one on VLC would want to encourage any of the Dulles South kids to leave. |
