Who controls the jewels and tiaras now? Kate and Camila and the others generally "borrowed" from the queen. Will they be Charles's to lend out or Camilla's?

Of course not. They do not announce the death immediately. There are a number of things that need to go into place before the announcement can be made. This way, when the news that the Queen has passed breaks, everything is in sync for King Charles.

Can you imagine if news broke and the broadcasters weren't already in black? The BBC website wasn't in black? The royal family webpage wasn't updated with its tribute? The notices not posted at the doors? PM had not made the appropriate speech for the news? All of this takes hours to prepare. Once the plan has been completed, announcement is made. So it looks seamless.

Yes. They’ve already changed his title on their social media accounts. He now the Duke of Cornwall and Cambridge. There’s a huge amount of ££ that comes with the Duchy of Cornwall (and was the source of funds, via Charles, for Harry when he was a “working Royal,” so he probably shouldn’t count on getting that back anytime soon).
