And there was a shooting in Tysons Mall yesterday. Probably some nutter who just came from that gun market.

You should go to the gun show. It might help you with that irrational fear. Seriously, the diversity of those attending and of those selling might surprise you.

I go sometimes to look for vintage political items and it's probably one of the most civilized events I attend.

Just so it’s registered on this, relevant thread, it should noted that the right wing extremist Court is edging ever further away from common sense and common sense gun laws.

For reference I’m linking to Jennifer Rubin’s opinion piece because she gets it, and also because she always links to several relevant articles within her pieces: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/06/23/supreme-court-bad-decision-guns-new-york-concealed-carry-law/

That comment didn't age well.

.

I’ve been to gun shows. I don’t think they are dignified. Lots of MAGA creeps and I’ve seen kids posing with assault weapons. No thank you.

Absolutely no one is paying attention to the Senate gun safety bill but it just passed. Will it matter in the wake of the SCOTUS decision today?

I think the bill has to become law, take effect, and someone has to sue because the law directly interferes with their rights.

So this legislation may actually have a small impact for a few years.

PP again. Should've had an asterisk.

And you’re a liar - and you’ve been caught lying right there.

I’ve been to probably a hundred plus gun shows in my life, in at least a dozen states. Gun shows aren’t petting zoos. Vendors don’t let kids pick guns up off the table and pose for pictures with them.

That literally *never* happens.

You’re busted.

You have no idea what PP saw at the gun shows he or she went to.

The shooting was actually done by a likely Democrat. A hood / gangsta rapper named “No Savage” from DC.
