You should go to the gun show. It might help you with that irrational fear. Seriously, the diversity of those attending and of those selling might surprise you.

Don’t want to spoil the event for white nationalists, sovereign citizens and conspiracy theorists picking up their hateful MAGA merchandise.

And there was a shooting in Tysons Mall yesterday. Probably some nutter who just came from that gun market.

The shooting was actually done by a likely Democrat. A hood / gangsta rapper named “No Savage” from DC.

So? How does his presumed party affiliation change the fundamental issue that we allow people like him to own guns?

Let’s be real here. Yes, there are Black people at guns shows….maybe like 25% of the visitors are Black. But, there are plenty of booths and stands with Trump paraphernalia, confederate paraphernalia, etc.

The Gun Expo is not a celebratory cultural mixed bag. A Black person can easily be uncomfortable at that good ol’ boy family reunion.

There are a lot of events I could go to that I might be easily uncomfortable with. I can choose not to go.

And meanwhile we have lunatics like Chip Roy in office touting the completely contrived "insurrectionist" false reading of 2A claiming it's "to protect us from tyrannical gubmint."

Except that was put to the test within months of ratification of 2A, when a group of insurrectionists took up arms and declared the government was tyrannical for imposing a whiskey tax. Those EXACT SAME PEOPLE who wrote 2A authorized George Washington to send soldiers to crack down on their rebellion. History.

Also, the Republican Guarantee Clause of Article 4 Section 4 in the Constitution which was put in place in response to Shays Rebellion says YOU DO NOT have the right to armed insurrection.

Likewise, Article 3, Section 3 defines armed insurrection against the government to be treason.

So the crap that Chip Roy and other 2A nuts claim about "guns against tyrannical gubmint" is not only unconstitutional, it's treasonous.

But a Catholic scholar from the Middle Ages once said it was ok to use guns to shoot witches, so it must be what the Framers intended!

Infringe this. The majority of Americans are sick of this insanity. People don’t want their children to live in a terror state.

Are you saying parents need to be with their kids 24/7 or that kids should pack heat?

Your right to own a blackpowder musket or flintlock rifle shall not be infringed. Beyond that you're out on a limb.

Join the military then, as the Founders intended.
