This is a misuse of taxpayer funds. The AD talked about how he loves money in his texts, so someone was dipping their hands into FCPS accounts.

The BOS should absolutely step in.

Read a few different comments on Twitter that essentially said that the AD resigned last week, told people that his has gotten a new job in a foreign country, and then they immediately got on a plane.

Fleeing the country? This is so wild!

If those parents have not changed their pay stub addresses with their employers, this is tax fraud all the way.

Oh, it is tax fraud, it is residency fraud, and it is welfare fraud. I genuinely hope the legal system gets involved real quick and starts filing charges. I am now at the point where I am having a hard time feeling bad for the athletes who illegally transferred.

It's hard to feel bad for the players on the team that are legal residents of the county. And their parents. I mean like you know they knew, maybe they didn't like it but they had since August to say something. I mean you feel bad for the players (the legal ones) that did the work to get to where they are athletically. I remember high school athletics, you work for something and you want to succeed because it's important to you. That said, this is hopefully a real huge life lesson for the students.

To your comment...one person who needs to be held accountable in all of this is a Hayfield parent: Abe Kamarck. He is the parent of a Hayfield player prior to Overton's arrival who also happened to sit on the hiring committee of Overton and who has blindly defended him throughout all of this. On paper at least this guy is an intelligent human being yet he had the audacity to blindly defend Overton even when the house was crumbling.

Oh, he’s still on twitter now defending Hayfield!! “We didn’t break any rules”, “It’s all about the kids”, “My life is over no that my child isn’t going to win a high school state championship”

At this point FCPS families should want to see Reid and the SB go down more than the guilty Hayfield parties. We can all recover from a cheating scandal at the local level and get things back on track. How much more strategic damage must we endure with these leaders who lack ethics and blindly put their political party before doing right by the citizens of Fairfax?!

How is that ? Va state taxes either way.

Yikes...the ignorance of some folks. The majority of FCPS funding comes from property taxes. That clear things up for you?
They are paying property taxes on any property they own as recorded in county deed books. Their pay stub has nothing to do with it. So you are apparently the ignorant one.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

I’m hearing we may have landed in the moon. Still trying to get confirmation.

WTOP said Fritts "resigned." Was this a mistake or did he resign and not take a LOA? Or perhaps resigned after?

Reading back through her 11/24 email, that one especially this is not a good look. As an outsider, it seems like she is hiding something.

Her emails read as if VHSL is to blame for this situation. It’s pretty unfair and seems disrespectful.

This isn’t about a political party. Strange take. And I agree that Reid needs to be reprimanded for her mishandling and I want to hear some reflection from the seven members who signed the support statement.

Hope this helps derail the boundary review! Lets’s go fairfax times!!! Can’t wait to see what else comes of this that traces back to gatehouse wrongdoings. Please also shed more light on the questionable ethics regarding FCPS contracts and financial conflicts of interest.

This is not a rumor. FCPS gave a comment to a reporter last Friday that they approved his leave of absence for a “family opportunity overseas”.

Yes, very wild.

What a loser. Such a shame that he is teaching his kid to cheat.

I don't see how this has anything to do with a boundary review.

PP. it’s about the SB members who defended Reid. We now know they defended her while witting to the text messages. There is an aspect of party loyalty and putting politics ahead of doing the right thing.

Yikes. Doubling down on ignorance. First you noted that it is VA taxes. It isn't. Again, as I noted the majority of the $$ is property taxes, which is local. Second, the illegal transfers happen to live in PWC, which means they aren't paying property taxes towards Fairfax County. Maybe sit this one out, ok?
