What is happening with the 2011 (U14) ECNL-RL team? Are they in rebuild mode again? I heard no new talent came out for the team. Far from what they were a few years ago.
|
2011 would be rising u15. Are you asking about boys or girls? |
|
Well for 2011 girls their coach left last year with most of their team. Valor can't attract the talent to rebuild an entire decent team in the middle-high school ages.

Some-what disagree. Win, lose records and statistics are qualitative. Statistics are regularly used as measures of performance metrics that speak to improvement. We do this everyday in our lives. It’s how we consider ROI - the time and resources invested. Now, I will say that no club or coach will improve your child significantly without the player or parent owning some responsibility for that development (extra practice at home). That expectation is unrealistic. The clubs only have your kids maybe 6 hours a week. |
2015? 3rd and 4th teams smart man…both those teams are in the last or 6th division . All money grabs. NB1536 VALR 2015B Black NB1537 VALR 2015B Silver |
Thank you oh wise one for adding so much value to the conversation. Kids want to play, families want to pay. There is a league to play against similar level, this is not a money grab. It's a business providing a service. If you have any actual knowledge on the coaches and their quality feel free. But generic 9 years olds that may not be as good as their peers shouldn't get to play and if their parents are stupid enough to pay is a money grab is getting real old. |
Thank you. And just because your kid starts in div6 doesn't mean they'll stay there or that the team will. Plus not everyone is chasing the pipe dream of scholarships and pro team opportunities when their kids are 10. Sometimes kids outgrown rec and want to give travel a try but aren't developmentally ready to play on a top team. Some kids drop every year and some kids stick with it through high school and that's fine. I can't stand judgemental parents in youth sports it's so unhinged. Why do they care so much what other families do with their own money for their kids? |
| So tryouts are totally over and they still don't have any coaches? |
Which age group and boys/girls are you asking about? They sent out a list for 2015G months ago. |
|
Could it be that the youth soccer scene around here has is beginning its downward spiral?
Way too many clubs with way too many teams that expanded since the end of COVID. This required clubs to hire more coaches than this area actually has. Then, as new parents learned about the “pyramids”, many are quitting once their kids don’t make it to MLSN/ECNL/GA. When some parents would otherwise be content with their kids playing in lower tier, arrogant top team parents and disgruntled lower tier parents post about how everything lower tier are nothing but “money grabs”. Not defending Valor, but I’m seeing posts in other threads about how their club is going down, asking about who will be coaching their kids, or whether offers have gone out. |
Really? They sent out a full coaching slate for that one particular age group "months ago"? |
|
What is the full 2015G coach list. Since you know it? |

2015G
Pre-ECNL - Keith O Gold - Lexi K White - Jose A (??? This one I’m not quite sure if I got the name right.) Now I don’t remember where I got this information, if it was an email or an instagram post or where so I can’t double check White. |
No last names? |
