That seems to undermine your argument.

Citation that there are "enough Senators" ....... all I have seen are reports about Collins efforts but there is nothing definite.

Pelosi accomplished nothing. They know their case is so weak that they have to rely on additional witnesses. Quite honestly, the whole case should just be dismissed right from the start because it is baseless and totally partisan.

1) Romney wants witnesses. CBS is reporting that there are at least 3-4 others who will demand this as well.
2) Every other Senate impeachment trial has had witnesses. Every.Single.One Why is this different?
3) The House serves as a Grand Jury. The Senate a trial. Since when does a trial skip having witnesses and evidence?
4) What do you suppose the White House is trying to hide?
