31 transfers? or 31 ineligible players?

Tough luck. I hope the adults feel really guilty about it.

Wait is that the final tally? For real?!?

Look I knew he recruited but yea that’s holy shit

I’m saying you will see principal Thompson step down by the end of this school year

Within three years hayfield will have all new assistant principals at the middle and high school levels. And a new director of student services for the high school.

I won’t say the assistant principals did something wrong because they likely toed the line as they were told. But them going somewhere else just cleans the whole house of the mess. Like just saying hey we need you to move on because ya know the whole recruiting mess.

Director of students services might be the most screwed because they would be the one signing off on address checks. The counseling staff will have a complete turnover over the next 5 years. Like the assistant principals some of that will just be to clear the board. Most of those folks are good people who were just doing their jobs like they’re supposed too. And they deserve to land on their feet. Plus anytime a DSS changes usually the student services dept sees changes if as a counselor you’re not on board with the new DSS vision.

These "young athletes" knew as well. Yes they were failed by their coaches and their parents, but none of them cared about doing what was right either. I have no sympathy for them. It's called consequences and if they are lucky they will learn from it.

That’s an astounding number. An entire offense, defense, and 9 subs or special teams. Would like to know how many also claim to be homeless.

31 positions and opportunities taken away from the actual Hayfield students.

31 is crazy. Thats an entire team.

AI analysis of Dr. Reid's latest message (will she be out soon too? I wonder):

Dr. Reid's message does indeed sound defensive and carefully worded to avoid admitting explicit fault on the part of Hayfield or FCPS leadership. While acknowledging "new and troubling" evidence, she frames it as information that FCPS could only act upon once it came to light, emphasizing the limits of their initial investigation rather than admitting oversight or bias.

The tone suggests an attempt to protect the institution's credibility by shifting focus to the future and ensuring improvements, rather than explicitly owning up to potential flaws in the current system. This approach likely aims to reassure stakeholders of accountability while minimizing damage to FCPS's reputation.

The withdrawal of Hayfield's football team from postseason play seems to be presented as a necessary and prudent decision based on new evidence, but the language avoids any clear statement of culpability, further supporting the perception of defensiveness. This strategy appears to prioritize damage control and maintaining trust without directly admitting fault.

(I’ll note that my children do not go to Hayfield and don’t play football, so not sure why I’ve gotten at least three rather long emails.)

Here’s a summary.

None of this actually matters.

So which team doesn't play tomorrow? Does Lake Braddock as top remaining seed get a bye and W Springfield plays Fairfax? Or does Fairfax get the bye since they were gonna play Hayfield?

This would have been actually useful information for Reid to include in her email
