Also DCUM: What's the point in divorce after that long??

One of them wants to be officially dating someone else.

The point is maybe Melinda wants peace and was tired of the cheating. Why waste another minute with him ?

Melinda wants out from under Bill's shadow. She has already done some speeches. And she thinks he is a moron - which she is probably right about.

Speak for your own lack of smell; it stinks to high heaven depending in where it came from or what it was used for. You can smell dirty money and dirty d*cks no matter how much you may try to wash either.

I never fell for his phony "do what I say on climate, etc etc". He doesn't have his own family life together and he's trying to tell other people what to do. Typical.

What does someone’s personal life have to do with climate change or advocacy? I’m genuinely confused. If you aren’t happily married, you shouldn’t be giving to charity or contributing to promote causes you care about?

DP.

Bill has demanded a global platform by throwing money around. He acts like he is an expert on myriad topics and relies on his credibility to be the moral authority on complex issues.

Well, he’s just a kinky rich guy. He’s not the nice scientific expert he wants the world to believe he is.

That still isn't an explanation for why his affairs invalidate his scientific expertise.

DP. He doesn’t actually have any scientific expertise.

DP. What I read is that he has scientific "advisors" that he kept on payroll. One was mixed up with Epstein.

Yes, he has scientific expertise by proxy. And his affairs don't invalidate that.

It calls in everything to question. When you are a liar and cheater in one area it's often found in others as well.

Oh, really. And yet his success in building the biggest software company in the world doesn't count for anything, of course.

Posters on here are celebrating Gates's infidelity because it gives them a license to be free of concern about the philanthropic concerns he espoused. Child poverty and world hunger aren't going anywhere, no matter how many engineers Gates propositioned over email.

He’s so gross.

And honestly PP, if you really believe that Gates is dabbling in vaccines bc he genuinely cares about poverty and disease and “philanthropic concerns” you are either naive, delusional, or have read nothing but PR-spin about the man.
He’s ridiculously shady and the strippers and Epstein links are just the tip of the iceberg. The elite protect their own. And he’s def no angel.

This.
Everything he does is to increase wealth and indulge in perversions of the ultra-wealthy and connected. Massive con.

I read somewhere they set up the foundation because they wanted the Nobel prize. It's great that the foundation is doing good everywhere but I guess we have to realize that their motivations may have been less than altruistic. Maybe it does not matter because the foundation's benefits far outweigh any perceived cons.

How do you know that PP is a Trump voter? Or are you deflecting? - Independent

There’s a lot going on right now but I find myself wishing/hoping that Melinda took weekends away with a flame during her marriage like her entitled husband did. First person to reply “two wrongs don’t” gets forever for entirely missing the point.

Wow, this is a really useful post with credible information in it.

She’s speaking out. Doesn’t sound good.

Why re-hash this long after people had moved on? It says more about her and her attention-craving motives than him for being a creeper.

Did not seem to reveal any new information. My guess is that she wants to get French Gates out there so people associate her with that name and then at a later time she will drop the Gates.

She will always be derivative of Bill. Nobody would know or care who she was without Bill. Enjoy your money, sis, but spare us.

He was already a billionaire when she met him -- at work. She was some MBA marketing nobody. She didn't marry him for love. Ditto Bezos's wife, who met Bezos when he was her multi-millionaire investment banking boss.

I give Mackenzie a little more credit, she was a least there before Amazon was a big thing and Bezos had to borrow money from his parents to start the company in a garage.

It's an uncomfortable truth that throughout most of history, in most of the world women have shared rich, power and successful men, whether implicitly or explicitly.
