Bill and Melinda Gates Announce Divorce After 27 Years

Anonymous
I for one am thinking of suing him!
I got the shot and...no 5G! Nothing! The dang magnet won't' stick to my shot spot, and I do not get my text message fed directly to my eye!
He must've let Melinda down much worse if this is what he did to me!

I never fell for his phony "do what I say on climate, etc etc". He doesn't have his own family life together and he's trying to tell other people what to do. Typical.

What does someone’s personal life have to do with climate change or advocacy? I’m genuinely confused. If you aren’t happily married, you shouldn’t be giving to charity or contributing to promote causes you care about?

DP.

Bill has demanded a global platform by throwing money around. He acts like he is an expert on myriad topics and relies on his credibility to be the moral authority on complex issues.

Well, he’s just a kinky rich guy. He’s not the nice scientific expert he wants the world to believe he is.

That still isn't an explanation for why his affairs invalidate his scientific expertise.

DP. He doesn’t actually have any scientific expertise.

DP. What I read is that he has scientific "advisors" that he kept on payroll. One was mixed up with Epstein.

Yes, he has scientific expertise by proxy. And his affairs don't invalidate that.

It calls in everything to question. When you are a liar and cheater in one area it's often found in others as well.

He's far from perfect -- he is a genius though!

Nothing he's done is egregious, there's plenty of people who've done worse.

I'm older and he's no genius going by his behavior. When you lack common sense and good morals it's a big hit on the smarts department, lol.

And I'm sure the "engineer" he was screwing 20 years ago is probably a multi-millionaire who screwed him to get ahead. Now old, bitter, rich and the relationship behind her...the engineer who screwed him becomes a #MeToo victim.

This is offensive on so many levels .... clearly your EQ is extremely limited #himtoo moments

PP is right, we've seen this quite a bit from women that go back for more only later claiming sexual harassment. Especially when they've burned through their money, and they can get a big pay day. B.C. case is one that comes to mind among many others fyi

This.

If you work with foundations, you know that wealthy people with their own foundation fancy themselves as experts on all kinds of things. It’s not just annoying...it’s actually ineffective and sometimes dangerous.

There is an over abundance of foundations led by people who got rich in the tech world (including people you’ve never heard of). They are so unqualified to advance real solutions, yet everyone humors them since we need their grant money.

You know how everyone says they’d refuse funding from bad seeds? Think: corporations with sweatshops. I wonder if people will toss Gates into that category?

Oh, really. And yet his success in building the biggest software company in the world doesn't count for anything, of course.

Posters on here are celebrating Gates's infidelity because it gives them a license to be free of concern about the philanthropic concerns he espoused. Child poverty and world hunger aren't going anywhere, no matter how many engineers Gates propositioned over email.

Also DCUM: What's the point in divorce after that long??

One of them wants to be officially dating someone else.

The point is maybe Melinda wants peace and was tired of the cheating. Why waste another minute with him ?

+1. People listen to him on scientific matters because he is rich and buys influence. Sure he can hire people with scientific expertise, but he doesn’t have any himself.

You can be both. Of all the great men and women across the ages that you admire, PP, I'm sure there are some with private lives that would not bear scrutiny...

No doubt those types sent their best to Jeffrey.

I think a lot of people blow the dirt offf of dirty dollars and purpose it with greater intent than the history that created it. This is their reconciliation with the law of reaping in sowing: in their sowing the environment will be different, the seed made pure, and the reaping of harvest without fault or harm.

Perhaps. But doubt it. Because the cycle doesn’t end there, nor want to end there.
