Lady in tennis shoes has a terrible fashion sense. Oh my

But who is the lady in the pink coat? She looks gorgeous!!

Naomi Biden in sneakers up top, and Maisy Biden in sneakers at the bottom.

I love Ashley Biden’s suit :o and Natalie Biden in the pink dress and coat!

Yo. For real though- this family BROUGHT the fashion for this. And actual fashion, attainable but on point and NOT just about women being femme bots like telemundo weather ladies. I lurve a tux on a woman, with an open bow tie especially and am 100% buying one for the next time I get to do the fundraising gala thing in person.

Michelle Obama's outfit slayed too, that was the perfect proportion with coat, belt, pants for her body. I also just love how much W. seems to love Michelle. Like, he stans and that's always funny to see the memes of.

And in the coverage of the entrances, it was also fun to see Laura Bush get people to light up a little when they saw her too (President Obama gave her a huge "smize", you could tell).

Bernie's practical Vermont mittens obviously stole the internet.

The one is tux looks fierce. love it.

Brrrrrr!

Why do men get to wear jackets and trousers and proper shoes, and women have to pretend they're not freezing to bits.

The woman in the tux is Ashley Biden, Joe and Jill's daughter or "the new Ivanka" if you read the rag that is the Daily Mail Any IDs on the others?

Re: woman in tux. This is pretty much what Melania wore to the debate.

Melania also looked great. Ivanka was always a mess.

Dr. Biden usually looks MUCH better. She seemed to be channeling the Queen of England with her matched dress, matched coat, obviously dyed gloves. She was the one who really needed jewel tones with her light hair. Nancy Pelosi should have helped with the selection. Even Amy Klobuchar (who I actually admire except for her fashion sense) looked better than Jill Biden. Hillary looked fat and dumpy I watched CSpan and she and Bill got to the top of the steps and he was mobbed and she basically moved on without him.

Don't see much comparison to the Queen of England at all. JB looks warm and natural, not cold and stuffy.

She looks like she lost weight and finally got a good haircut. I am not sure if the all black look was deliberate (mourning?), but it fit well and would have benefited from a bit of color.
On the other hand, on her departure, Melania looked great with her suit, long black gloves, red soled Louboutins and Birkin bag. She was wearing about $30,000 to $40,000.

Let me just add another women who deserves some recognition. She is probably the wife of the Joint Base Andrews commander because she seemed to be there with her husband to greet the Trumps and escort them around. She was wearing a double breasted purple-red coat with gold buttons and black boots. Her blondish hair was pulled back in a soft bun like Melania's. She was dressed appropriately for the weather and carried herself well and handled everything smoothly. There was a back view of her and her husband (he was in full military mufti) standing on the tarmac as Trump's plan departed. I hope someone gives them a photograph of the moment because it captures what it means to be a military spouse.

Sorry -- political junkie here -- and I took off yesterday to do my four year binge watching of every aspect of the Inauguration.

You do know that judicial robes are black. not jewel toned.

This is the Capital police officer who lead that group of rioters away from where they wanted to go and towards his backup...

I love the scarf.

Dressed like a hero.

And the tie. He looks dashing.

Go to Alfred Street Baptist on any Sunday (even during the pandemic) and you will see this type of look.

Other than Bernie Sanders, who was consistent to his own style (including mittens?), I didn't really see anyone whose clothing, hair, or accessories were wholly-inappropriate or poorly-fitted. Yes, Kamala Harris and Dr. Biden's coats looked a little tight or boxy, but that's likely because of body armor. I thought the colors they chose were lovely!

Bill Clinton's gloves made me smile. No dress/formal gloves for him!

Janet Yellen was the female version of Bernie.

God love the people who notice stuff like this. I’ve watched that episode since Trump was elected and I would still never have picked up on this.

This is really funny; although I think at some point there was going to be a woman in the White House wearing a purple (bipartisan color) suit and classic pearls. And whenever that happened someone would bring out this proof that Simpsons predicted it. (Maybe the argument is that it happened so soon (?) )

Anyway, there are other things that I think are more of a coincidence or can be looked at as "predictions", but I don't think this is that.

btw, I do love VP Kamala and Lisa, too.

I just have to walk around the office. This is how the black men in my office dress. Always so polished and professional.

The colors of the women's suffrage movement were gold, violet and white (Give Votes to Women).

Whether it was all intentional or not, I smiled seeing so many of the women at the Capitol yesterday in those colors.

I love the whole thing. Quirky, youthful, and fun.

The shoulders are amazing

+1. I love that jeweled jacket.

Root beer! It was root beer hard candies I was trying to remember!

This outfit isn't cute or fashionable. If Tiff or Ivanka would have wore this everyone would be tearing it apart. Granted, it is probably this woman's style, but it is weird and not pretty. But she looks fine, groomed, put-together. I guess you can only wear ugly clothes and have it be acceptable if you also aren't trying to look sexy and have fake blonde hair/breasts.

Go away! It is very much the style with some young women. Not with my dd, but the girl is as cute as a bug. Stop tearing women down, you evil misogynist who is a shame to her own gender!

This is the Fashion board...where what people wear is discussed. And this is the thread where what people wore to Inauguration is discussed. You go away! There is a politics board for you

You have been reported. No need for your nastiness towards a young woman that is there as a family member. You could say you don't like it, and end with that. I pity your daughters if you have them. I pity your sons.

Reported for what? You are insane.

+1 I really thought we could lose all the dog whistles when Biden became president. If I never see any form of the word "misogynist" again, i will be thrilled.
