Amy Klobuchar looked absolutely awful. That coat was terrible (and I am a fan of mustard yellow and camel, in general) but wtf. She stuck out like a sore thumb and her mask looked like it was made of red paisley print. The outfit without the coat, in the rotunda, was equally as bad. A black suite with a red shell. Did she not get the memo on the color scheme? She looked as if she bought that entire outfit at Maurices, on clearance, last minute. An embarrassment to Minnesota (and I like her!!).

She was dressed very sensibly, exactly what I would expect from the senator from Minnesota. She's not made of money, you know?

I feel bad for Amy. The whole presidential party and all the formers were styled by stylists so they were going to of course look amazing. Then there's Nancy Pelosi who blows it out of the park every day of the week. Amy was the only woman in any position of prominence to be left to her own devices. If she had thought of it, she should have splurged on a stylist. Clearly, she did not. Granted, I doubt Roy Blunt did either.

I loved Mrs. Obama’s hair. Her stylist posted a video of a different woman getting her hair styled in a similar way if anyone’s interested. I loved Amanda Forman’s entire outfit. “Be the light” - she wore yellow. It was brilliant. And she had lovely hair as well. Everyone is swooning over Ella Emhoff and while I like her Instagram and funky style, I thought the Miu Miu was a drab color and the crystals tacky - it looks like a Jenna Lyon’s knockoff I’d find at Macy’s. Michelle Obama looked amazing. Biden’s granddaughter in the purple pants dress looked amazing. I love Kamala Harris so she really can do no wrong - I wasn’t wild about that shade of purple but whatever, I’m glad she wore a bright color. Dr. Jill’s coat was a nice shade of blue. Loved her white coat and dress but it was VERY wrinkly.

I thought any looked good. Her hair looked really nice and makeup too and I thought that mustard color looks good on her. The other women (Kamala, Nancy, Jill and Michelle) are all big style mavens—Amy’s not and that’s fine. She looked relaxed, happy and good.

Totally agree. I thought that she looked like herself, and I like that she re-wore a nice coat. It's on brand for her. I bet after the Bernie meme stuff she wishes she'd worn mittens, too!

I thought Klobuchar looked just fine. Her aesthetic is one of sensibility and middle-aged, Midwest Mom-ness, and she blew it out of the park by those standards. She’s never going to be a glamourpuss.

I thought Sen. Klobuchar looked fine. She wasn’t trying to be something she’s not. And her genuine joy elevates whatever she’s wearing.

And she’s a Senator with staff. No doubt she considered a stylist, could have had one and decided against it.

That's such nonsense. If you paid any attention to their post-2016 lives you would see that they're basically always together. There's no reason for them to do that to keep up the "act" at this point. They're actually just a married couple who had some trouble twenty years ago.

The Clinton's are the epitome of, "The only people who understand a marriage are the two people in it." Bill is obviously a serial womanizer, but it's apparent from the earliest pictures of them together to the way he looked at her on the 2016 campaign trail that he is completely head-over-heels for Hillary. I don't understand them and I could not live like that...but I also don't think I could handle the emotional aspects of being Governor/POTUS/Senator/SOS/Presidential Candidate either. One thing that has always seemed clear to me is that they love and need each other. Though it's not the marriage I would want.

I totally agree with this. He spoke of her with so much admiration and pride when she was running for president. I think they really "get" each other. Iindividually, they are both complicated people. No surprise that their marriage is, too.

As a young, single feminist, I was disappointed when she stuck with him during the Lewinsky scandal. Now as an old married feminist, I appreciate the loyalty and effort they've put into making their marriage last. She is a hard worker who never gives up easily, so it makes perfect sense that she's approached her marriage the same way.
