4) He called her a Karen, so in his heart he is likely as racist as she is.

Karens come in all colors

Not a NP because I posted about 12 pages ago, but the "Karen" meme absolutely refers to a white woman. It's a stereotype.

Irony is, HE was displaying "Karen" behavior by trying to police another adult. You don't do that.

It's policing someone's behavior to draw their attention to posted rules they are breaking?

That's just being part of a community.

Sure. Once. Continuing to harass them if they choose to ignore those rules is an act of policing. And it deliberately escalates a confrontation. She was absolutely wrong, but he didn't exactly behave well, either. The only innocent party in this is the dog.

her illegal activities were bad for the environment, were against the posted rules and were impinging on his legal/lawful activities

It's safe to say that we know that for certain. She has spoken to the press and that didn't come up. Sorry.

DP. Also, in the video she walks up to him and tells him to stop filming her. He asks her to back up and not get so close to him. If he had threatened to kill or hurt her before the filming, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have been acting that way. Her whole threat of calling the police is clearly a taunt because she doesn't like what he's doing.

Yes, if I am actually feeling threatened physically by someone, I don't approach them with my arm and voice both raised. That's aggression.

All she had to do was leash her dog and get out of the Ramble. Pretty easy.

Ugh! If he threatened to hurt or kill her why is she approaching him. He had to say to her, stay away. No way in hell if this were a WHITE 59 year old Harvard grad who likes to bird watch would you even suggest such a thing.

+1

George Zimmerman should start a card carrying hate crime club, because that is basically what this is. Thank God she didn't have a gun.

This is so true. It is hard to understand the people who are saying he baited her. He asked her to leash her damn dog. In turn, she wanted him arrested or worse. She is a horrible human being and thank the heavens he recorded the incident otherwise he would have been arrested yesterday.

This. I have found people with dogs off leashes so obnoxious. This woman though was white privilege at it's finest. Plus, she is freaky with her need for kudos and attention with the dog. She claimed to have saved her dog's life multiple times and she had the rescue write about it in their newsletter or something. Including recently she claims she did doggy CPR. Seriously, such a saint that she practically chokes her own dog during the altercation yet she claims to have saved it's life multiple times? Something seems so off. It's like the child abuser who claims to do so much for underprivileged children.

She is going to call the cops on this thread and tell them that a DC urban mob is accosting her! We’re practically lynching her with our comments!

How are people defending the lady???

We know for a fact she broke at least a couple laws.

Zero evidence of the man breaking any.

Y'all defending the lady are either as racist as her, or just crazy awful dog people.

You can’t tell me what to do...it’s unconstitutional! I am the only one who can tell people what to do! It’s in the constitution. Many people do not consider it part of the constitution because it was written on a napkin suck to back off the original document with BBQ sauce.

Why do people get so angry and defensive?

Entailed snowflakes don't like to be confronted with their entitled snowflakiness. It makes them have to confront the fact that the world includes other people besides themselves. Like, how dare others.

The kind of person who would unleash their dog in a public place is exactly the kind of person who would go berserk if you called them on it. They’re special and entitled and their dog wouldn’t hurt a flea. Until it does. Unfortunately, I as a white woman wouldn't ask someone to leash their dog because I would assume that person is selfish and crazy or volatile.

I love when Karens ban together. As much as you want to appear neutral it’s clear where you stand. Him telling her to leash her dog is not Karen behavior. Karen behavior would be if he had come from across the park screaming about how she should leash her dog bc there were kids around. Then trying to take the leash from her while calling the cops. He would’ve also asked to see proof that the dog was hers. If you want to use the term, know how it’s used.

I'm not sure why you are certain he was harassing her (and even "continuing to harass her") before she overreacted and he turned on the cell camera? The conversation he recounts doesn't sound like harassment, and she isn't claiming now that he did.
