Malaysia Airlines Flight Goes Missing En Route to China

Did you hear that there is a recording of one of the pilots signing off to his family: "good night; good night". Or something close to that. Then the jet disappeared. That might rule out at least one of the pilots re: the suicide theories.

I've been following this thread but this is my first post. The wash pist headline states that it appears the plane flew for four hours after losing contact. What in the world? And how do they know this? The tracker couldn't tell that until 5-6 days later? Is terrorism higher on the list of theories now?

I just read that could have landed it in North Korea. Obviously all speculation but WTH! What came of the debris the Chinese spotted on satellite?

Roll Royce engines send out updates while in use. The NYT has a store, but the malaysian said they contacted RR Hq and it is not true.

This was apparently an hour before the transponder went out, and to traffic control. The plane was flying in the middle of the night, and saying "good night" during a night shift is not out of the ordinary in the least.

I think nothing has been found, at least yet.

???

Pp is trying to sinuate that plane was hijacked and will be used again as a weapon yeah?

PP has been watching much too much TV.

Really? In 1999, we were worried about Y2K, not someone using a plane full of jet fuel as a bomb. Not saying that this is the case here, just the truth can be stranger than fiction.

WSJ article says that Boeing engines automatically send updates to Boeing, so they checked their systems and said that according to their updates the plane was flying HOURS after its last known location.

So then it goes on to say that US counter-terrorism is looking at the possibility that the plane was taken to be used later "for another purpose."

Which would mean if the thieves were successful, the plane did NOT go down--one theory. But what of those poor people? If this plane really was stolen, I don't think the group would keep the passengers alive (except maybe a select few for ransom, because that's a lot of people to feed)

Anyways here is the link:

If the plane really continued to fly for 4 hours, how in the world could a very large plane not have been picked up on ANYONE'S radar?
