Yes to girls on the U13 NVA team coming down to help in tournaments - 3 for sure - because those girls are 2014s. SYC does this when they are playing "up", so that they can use 2013s to help their 2014 squad. You can tell all this from pictures. Everyone knows each other. |
That definitely is the part the rankings can't capture. A few NJ teams are famous for this ****. However, I'd still say the rankings still provide a lot of value when you see league games vs common opponents etc. |
These NVA players are posted in pictures on the team's insta at tournaments and games as well as the player's personal instas, some even wearing NVA jerseys. Cope harder. Elite players are a small community here and we all know of, if not are friends, with each other. Sorry that you're kid isn't one of them. |
Exactly. I think some parents are just ignorant of what is going on with the top teams padding their games because their current rosters aren't actually that strong. Very few are not doing this exact thing but I'd say Loudoun is one of the biggest offenders in their area and the overall DMV. If you aren't in the know don't worry about it. Your kid doesn't know the right people and will never run in this circle. 99% never will. These kids are extremely athletic and talented in ways you can't toss money at to get your normal athlete to and no amount of @$$ kissing will get them to that level. |
| How did we get a thread of SYC v. Loudoun 2014 parents fighting it out. Hilarious. Arlington is the best local 2014G team that I have seen this year by a wide margin. |
I love the talk of these "elite" U12 players... some people are going to get a wake up call in a few years as puberty hits. Lots of movement between u12 and u16. |
That team doesn’t really need help from the NVA kids. And remember the whole Nepo/NVA situation, NVA has 20 players but can only dress 18 for the tournament, so 2 players had to come down to LS. Those players aren’t really making any difference to the team. That’s NVA’s problem to deal with not because LS actually needs help. |
Elite players have small communities? Get a life! All of this just so parents can brag that their kids are playing up? or playing a lot? So we’re going to beat up 10–12 year olds, with ACL injuries and braces on their knees and ankles? If that’s what you call “elite” I wouldn’t want my kid to be one. |
Nice condescending, self-congratulating tone here. "We" know all the "elite" 11 y.o. players bc we decided our friend group was the "elite." Sorry you're not one of them. How do we know? Is there a USYNT U12 roster? Most coaches know the best player at 12 y.o. is rarely the best player at 18 y.o. Enjoy it while it lasts. Their futsal name was Elite Ballers. You don’t get a name like that without being elite. |
Coach B was forced to take two players because of 20 kid roster on NVA. And taking a keeper and a bench player from 2013s is hardly game changing. |
I hope this is sarcasm |
The team name or the post? |
Well, maybe if NVA and Loudoun forced kids to play the new age groups, you’d have less issues. They created their own problems. And Coach B isn’t forced to do anything. |
What would the downside be for playing their new age group? |
