I am going to have to copy this and save it somewhere -- to roll out on election night as Exhibit A as to why Trump won. Is this really how deeply buried some people have their heads in the sand, when it comes to inflation? Is this this really how Harris voters think an economy works?

I just took the day off work to run several errands. One stop was to a cobbler to have some shoes resoled. Another was to a clockmaker to drop off a wristwatch to be cleaned and oiled. And then I had an appointment for a mason to come by the house and replace some grout that has cracked and fallen out of the stonework on the house, before winter hits with freezing rain. And I probably shared the streets with several hundred truck drivers, delivering loads of food and fuel and other goods. These kind of tradespeople are the foundation of our economy and represent the majority of workers in a healthy economy.

Oh, and the final errand was to the grocery store. I try to cook most everything from scratch for the family, and I like King Arthur flour. A 4# bag that was $4.99 in 2018 is now even higher today -- up from $6.49 this summer to $6.99 now. Eggs, orange juice, vegetables, etc. are all up a similar percent from 2018.

Does the poster above really think the cobbler, horologist or stonemason "didn't make something" of their life? Is that how pathetic this person's worldview is?

What about the person working at a flour mill. Are they also a loser? Does this poster above think that everyone in a country can get a PhD and then 100% of the economy simply magically makes lots of money, and everyone lives well without anyone actually producing goods or services?

Let's say Trump is the answer to all of our economic problems and somehow he creates an economy where wages continue to climb while the price of goods and services actually comes down to 2019 levels. All is great, right? No! An economy doesn't matter when your POTUS doesn't have the courage and integrity to stand up and take on the role of Commander-in-Chief when the country is attacked!! Go ahead and enjoy your $4.99 bag of flour when you're in a concentration camp being forced to learn the Russian language. How can you people be so dumb?! Priorities!

You sound unhinged.

Yes, 10s of millions of people in our country that refuse to acknowledge the fact that Trump went AWOL for 3 hours while hundreds of lunatics were roaming the US Capitol halls looking for prominent leaders to "hang" have me feeling angry enough to where I might become unhinged.

The whole Biden regime has been AWOL for the last three years on the southern border. This is why we have a massive illegal alien migration, and now issues on the border. I noticed the DNC was AWOL when BLM riders ransacked and torched cities for an entire year.

Anyone that cares about the economy from PhD holders on down should avoid voting for Trump. He is a senile old fool that will destroy this country's economy and everything else.

Well a senile old fool who can’t even work a sentence and is spoon fed his oatmeal and Miss Word Salad destroyed the economy already.

Trump and Vance are sharp. Biden is a drooling mess and Harris is as sharp as a sack of wet mice.

Trump is offering no taxes on tips, no taxes on OT, write off interest on auto loans and other incentives .

Harris is offering to call me a sexost for not voting for her.

Choice is clear for me as a blue collar working class male.

Yes, they'll go blood red after Trump wins and subsequently cowers in a bomb shelter when one of enemies attacks. Been there, done that during his failed presidency.

You cowered in a bomb shelter during an attack back in his presidency? Do tell us this story! Funny, his was the presidency that didn’t see war, unlike the debacle we see with Biden Harris from the failed Afghanistan withdrawal to Ukraine to Israel.

They even had a town hall in Michigan with working class people and what you said sums it up. 1/6 wasn’t even a thing. They didn’t care.

What they did care about is the massive wave of illegal aliens and and prices of food and housing.

It’s the economy stupid.

And people don’t like people who u fairly skirt the law . The illegals did just that and it’s infuriating for people who work hard and have to pay taxes and support these people as they sit in four star hotels for free and get free college.

Nope, that’s it, those folks see what’s eking on and they’re not for it.

On the other hand, I think Harris will win this time around because institutions/business tends to favor Harris.

I voted for Trump but definitely don’t like him.

A vote for Trump is a vote against women and a vote for corruption. You must be proud.

Not every woman supports the right to kill their baby.

There are women who live a life completely dictated by the men in their lives. There are women who internalize the constant stream of misogyny in our society. They look to the men in their life to provide them thoughts/opinion and surrender their free will. I think we are all well aware of this fact.

This is such belittling BS. When we met, my husband was pro-choice. I’m the one who changed his views. For the life me, I can’t understand how some pro-choices fail to see how people have honest, moral objections to abortion.

Of course they understand why a person might object to abortion. That is why they are pro-choice.
that position allows for people against abortion to choose not have an abortion and for people that have a different view to make their own decision. The pro-choice position has complete respect for for the decisions each individual makes about their own reproductive life

Yeh sounds great a murderer may understand why people want to live. Get over abortion it's not needed for birth control anymore and trump has already stated rape, incest and life of the mother.

But but but...Trump says it is up to the states, right. So whatever he wants doesn't matter. That is, until those elements of his party who want to enforce a national ban via Comstock take hold. And, as others have pointed out in previous threads before, the Dobbs ruling states "the people and their representatives", which isn't specifically constrained to the states only.
Just like he is fully in support of IVF...and yet, when given the chance TWICE now, Republicans in Congress have voted against upholding a right to IVF.
The forced birthers see this as a long game, to include banning of IVF and various forms of contraception. They absolutely will not stop with overturning Roe, and you're naive if you think so.

And, as to "life of the mother"...exactly how do you think that's going to eventually play out in states like TX and ID that are actively refusing to uphold EMTALA, requiring emergency abortion care when necessary for women who show up at hospitals with obstetric emergencies? ID actually argued this in front of the Supreme Court.
Women are going to die. Maybe that will start to turn the tide. If you don't understand how that can happen, look up the fallout around Savita Halapannavar in Ireland.

As a blue collar working class male who unfortunately lives in the DMV and is a single dad I certainly do come here for parenting issues and school research. Just because I work a manual job doesn’t mean I don’t pay attention to what’s going on.

I work 10-14 hours a day sometimes when I don’t have my kid.

I also know most people in the DMV area live in a bubble and are hedonistic elites. As does most of my family from Ohio and Iowa.

Point being, the choice is clear for me. I like tax breaks and a good economy. I don’t like being called a sexist. I also hate abortion and realize I wouldn’t have my son if my ex wife had gotten one.

Doesn’t matter what the blue haired snobby white women say, abortion is pretty wrong and unless it’s for a good reason it’s not something I support . Having roe va wade overturned means nothing to me.

Trump cowered in the comforts of The White House and did nothing as "Commander-in-Chief" for three hours as a mob of hundreds stormed the US Capitol and the roamed the halls looking for prominent leaders to "hang". Don't take my word for it. Take the word of Ivanka, Don Jr., and Trump's closer inner circle of staff and advisers word for it from their testimony under oath. Failing to act immediately in that moment as Commander-in-Chief to such an attack on American soil is the definition of dereliction of duty but you probably aren't wise enough to see that truth for it what it is. Yes, Biden has been weak in some ways but I have faith that he would immediately act to defend the country in the most significant attack on our nation since 9/11 just as every other president in our history would..... other than Trump.

Amen. +100000.

I make $250k and I am constantly annoyed by the costs of eating out and food prices and everything in general. It's not that I can't afford it per se but it's totally the wrong direction for the country. I absolutely feel for those for whom grocery prices take their toll on. A family of 4 eating out for lunch is upwards of $75 with tip and I'm talking about an entree. No drinks no appetizers no desserts. Even I'm hurting and I make a lot. The state of our nation has not been made better by Biden and co. I don't believe Kamala's new talk about how she won't repeat his policies.

Okay tweedle dum. That's my "opinion" of January 6th. Please with all of your genius explain how the prospects of a better economy and appropriate immigration reform are worth voting in an POTUS that had the job before and refused to carry out his most important duty- protect our nation and it's people. You won't provide that explanation because you are just smart enough to know how stupid you will sound trying to suggest that it's okay for our president to be a coward as long as the economy is good and immigration policy is reformed.
