Again, this is NOT the Democrats job to fix GOP dysfunction. I get it, Dems always need to be the grownups in the room. But as a parent, you need to let your kids be on their own path, even if it means failing. So please STOP with the "Dems should do this..." nonsense. The GOP is the majority, they need to get their act together or step aside and let the grownups be in charge.

I think McCarthy would only need to bring it (increase in debt limit) up for a vote and it would pass pretty easily with Dems and moderate Republicans. Of course there’s no way Dems could enforce this once McCarthy wins the Speakership. And McCarthy would face a brutal revolt from the “Freedom Caucus” if he went through with it.
