Student walkout

It's entirely student run. Of course when there are enough students who are outside the school adults have to be there to monitor and to call them back in. Do you really want hundreds of kids outside with no adults monitoring the situation?

You must be kidding. The former Latin teacher at West Potomac seems to spend almost all his waking hours supporting the FCPS Pride events. The current West Springfield history teacher who posts constantly on Twitter pretending to be his wife jumped on the bandwagon, too. And there's an adult who helps with the websites.

Evidence that adults are running it? Pushing their agenda? None even in your account.

Stop feeding the trolls. Anyone with a shred of sanity knows the kids organized this, knows FCPS sent a form letter to staff to tell them not to participate, and knows 99% of teachers keep their religious and political beliefs quiet.

This was a student organized protest across the state.

The Langley principal took a few minutes this morning during her morning message to express support and pride in the students who engaged in the walkout.

It doesn’t sound like this was entirely student led.

Does anyone actually bother to find out what the law is? The law is simply that the school can’t make Jane into Jake without the parent’s knowledge/consent. Seems pretty commonsensical to me. Friends in Seattle had the school encouraging their daughter to take puberty blockers behind their backs. Puberty blockers cause infertility and the risks of cancer and other complications are unknown. Bring on the sane policies please.

The fact that you’d call the communication a “form letter” underscores how perfunctory it was and that it was well understood that adults, including some FCPS teachers and administrators, were urging students on. The war on parents is alive and well.

Nice try.

Anyone with eyes and half a brain knows that this was organized, coordinated, pushed and publicized by activist adults, many with zero connection to fcps.

She was showing support to the students, but she did not organize the event.

Bigots aren't smart enough to discern the difference.
