Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
LOL - you are trolling the wrong poster. Think you want the person who doesn't understand the spend on extracurriculars. |
Why? Seriously. Is this about your health and your pre-existing donations? I bet it is. And the answer is “no” we all don’t need to suffer for your poor health decisions abs those of your children. You are not looking out for the good of the majority of kids - just you and yours. It’s over. Now go get some exercise! And mask if you want to! |
You are correct. But the problem is that once regular, normal, everyday moms and dads testify against the establishment/party-line, they get painted as a nutcase. We saw it with the re-opening group. There were a handful of nutjobs but 99% of them were regular moms and dads. But the minute they testified for anything different than the status quo, the comments on social media and on newspaper articles all accused them of being nutcases. I agree we need more people to publically stand-up. But I think people underestimate the amount of courage it takes to do so |
+100 The great majority will be in the no-mask camp. Those few of you who are still torturing your kids this way will have to do it at home. |
| NJ is going to lift the school mask mandate and I think NY is not far behind. Its coming. |
Wow. Now that is big. Even Washington/ Bowser will be forced to pay attention. |
That is really irresponsible. |
It's really not. In fact, its the sensible thing to do. I say this without judgement, but you are trapped within the algorithm. Take time time to try to breakout of that algorithm and see a different perspective. |

As I've said repeatedly, this isn't about masks. This is about the GOP trying to rally their neckbearded base into a state of outrage over "freedoms."
The GOP is pushing hard to make masks the next flashpoint. Do not let them. Yes, there will soon come a time, it looks like, when possibly we wont need masks. But that time is not this month and it's really too soon to say if it's next month. It's not exactly a hardship to wear them in the meantime, and we all need to do our part to keep case numbers low. Arguments like "masks don't work," or "my child is suicidal because masks" are coming straight from Koch and Cato and the rest of those losers. Please, don't be dumb. |

1. Associate temporary virtual learning with "closing schools"
2. Convince others to unmask (even if the pandemic is ongoing) 3. Downplay any indication that MCPS is the source of covid outbreaks (ex. unmasking in school cafeterias) 4. Associate covid is the same as the flu (and downplay any associated effects to hospitals, teachers, elderly, etc.) 5. Blame anyone except MCPS for policy issues (no responsibility) 6. Convince others that in-person-learning-only (no virtual at all) supporters are greater than 5% (at least according to the January poll) 7. Make fake associations to the false data with credible / reputable sources to give the themes credibility (ex. the sources never said that or it was wildly exaggerated) 8. Ensure compromise suggestions such as a hybrid solution are deleted or discredited. |
Yeah let's get rid of all the vaccine requirements. Great idea. Polio, MMR, DPT, all unnecessary, right? |
The fact that you would state this completely discredits your argument. You have no idea when "the time" is; no one does, not even the CDC. It's all a guess at this point. The time HAS come for everyone to take their own risk level and move forward with life. I am 100% comfortable going without masks and sending my kids to school without them. That is the issue now. The time has come for independent choice. |
+1. Trapped within the algorithm due to unwarranted fear. This is an issue for individual therapy. |
You really do live in a bubble don't you |
Oh boy…it’s coming here. Masks are done no later than end of March. Get ready basement dwellers. Go NJ! About damn time a blue state caved. Gonna be an avalanche soon. |
