+1 People don’t think Trump is above the law. |

70% of Americans want witnesses
That’s a win for Pelosi. |
Yeah, I completely ignore people that make broad sweeping conclusive statements like it is 100% undeniable absolute truth. Because, you know, their argument proves it. I do believe what I see with my own eyes, or what is trustworthy and verified. Ultimately, Time will tell what American voters believe about all of this. |
Not sure how you get "quite upset" from that post. It seems a statement of fact. |
The conservative ghouls come out at night and crap post. |
|
Obviously Trump is getting worried that his Iran distraction has actually caused some in the GOP to stop blindly agreeing.
He’s threatening silencing possible Bolton testimony with “executive privilege”. Sounds like Pelosi’s strategy worked. She gave him enough time to screw things up for himself. She really has his number. |
Nice attempt at spinning Nancy's strategic failure. If Trump does invoke executive privilege, he is well within his rights to do so. Bolton was a national security advisor. Executive privilege is very appropriate given the overreach of members of Congress. Pelosi got nothing. What she claimed she was holding out for - she didn't get. One has to wonder if this was a strategy to take Bernie and Warren out of the running, given that they will need to leave the campaign trail for 6 days each week, leaving Biden to get all the attention. It wouldn't be the first time Democrats tried to swing the election in the direction of their favored candidate. |

For someone who is considered to be a savvy strategist, Pelosi just blew it. I don't know what she was thinking because it reached a point that even Democratic senators were telling her to $hit or get off the pot. She ultimately caved and got absolutely nothing in return.
I think her decision to proceed with impeachment because of the left wing who were pressuring her though her better judgement told her not to go that route. This latest move to hold the articles of impeachment was also because the idea had been floated by Tribe and others and she felt that she had to go along. Pelosi is actually pretty savvy and this was an unforced error on her part. She had zero ability to hold sway on McConnell in how the Senate would handle the impeachment. |
She gave the public time to realize that the Senate GOP considers Trump above the law. |
| At this point, if McConnell doesn't allow witnesses, it will be clear this entire process is nothing but a coverup. |
LOL. We have seen the evidence. We have heard the testimony. We have seen the transcripts of the call. What's to cover up? |
Really? How did Bolton, Pompeo, Mulvaney and Duffy testify? Were are the official cables Amb. Taylor sent? Please provide a link to the State Department, Defense Department and OMB emails on the matter. |
The document provided by the white house was a call summary. If you have seen the actual transcripts, please show us where. |
It was the House's responsibility to acquire the evidence and present it to the Senate. But, Nancy couldn't wait. Because, you know, it was so "urgent." If she chose not to subpoena Bolton, et al, that's on her. |
And, nearly all the the witnesses questioned said the transcript was an accurate summary of the call. At least those who were privy to the call. |
