Not even an FCV fan. I dislike their style of coaching and have for a while. Hence, they aren’t even on my list for my DD.

Your question says you don't understand the DA model of combined age groups. As long as that continues to be true, you and everyone else talking to you is wasting his or her time. This model has continued to be used since the DA’s inception 10 years ago, most would argue successfully. But if you don't understand how the DA works, after all these years in existence, then nothing we can do will change that for you.

And don’t told think ECNL teams don’t cut players. Some Va team ECNL rosters for U17s are at least 50% OR more different than that team was 4 years ago. I’ve watched it happen across multiple clubs.

22 on roster. All 02s that committed moved up to oldest team. 14 retained, 1 new kid, rest are 02s that didn't commit this year, 4 will sit until there are injuries. That stinks, but last I heard McLean 03s were at about 22 rostered and Loudoun ECNL were maybe even more than that. Just the way it goes. Bottom half always sits more at this level, what would you like, even play time at 16 and 17 years old? if so, DA and ECNL aren't for you

Thanks for that info. May I ask how many left the older teams? I know of one that went to BRYC, and heard unconfirmed rumors about a forward and a goalie.

I’m not trying to rag on FCV about losing players (that happens to every club) but rather just curious what all of the older DA and ECNL teams will look like next year, and too impatient to wait until August for rosters to be posted.
