If you go to the article, the dress looks beautiful from the front and looks great on her.

Agreed. Beautiful color, fits perfectly. I love it.

I love it too. This may be one of the best outfits she has worn. And much more work appropriate than most of her stuff.

Besides the sleeves (die, bell sleeve trend), this fits her well and is a great color. And you guys, nude pumps! That's what we wanted for her. Our baby is growing up and learning! No matching dyed greenish pumps. I like those pumps and actually want a pair with a much more sensible heel ( just not, you know, 5 inch stiletto... I don't ask for a lot).

Those are not nude pumps. Look in the middle, the shoe is see-through plastic. I guess a dress without a slit up to her underwear and non-see-through shoes would have been too much to ask for. She would have looked work-appropriate for once. Does this woman not have any "normal" shoes?

I think it looks good too, but without the slit and silly sleeve ruffle. Seriously, why do designers put these ugly clown ruffles on every piece of clothing? The heels are also way too high.

Yep, this would be a great dress without the slit and those stupid ruffle cuffs.

Yeah, inappropriate slit for work. At least it fits through the bust. Wonder when we'll see the nipple shot.

I cannot believe this clown from Oz thinks this is an appropriate work dress.

"Sick of choosing between slutty and frumpy when you're getting dressed in the morning? Why pick one when you can have both! This forest green frock is from our new Trampy Missionary line of dresses."

Come on! I'm a frequent reader/poster on this thread and this really isn't that bad. I don't think this can fairly be described as slutty. Not only is that a horrible word but we're talking about a slit in a dress here, it's pretty normal!

Its not slutty but it is inappropriate....and more importantly, it's weird. That slit could be three inches shorter and the dress would be FINE. It would be three inches above the knee, not SIX, and be a little edgy touch, not a "what the hell?" feature.

I can't believe I'm defending her, but.. she's very tall and so that slit doesn't reach the level of inappropriate, in my opinion. I don't love this dress but I do think it is completely fine to wear for work.

I am disappointed none of you have photoshopped this yet so the cuff ruffle is eating her whole hand

That’s the russian stripper aspect of her outfit.

That slit goes up to mid-thigh. That is not appropriate for a White House staffer, especially one auditioning for Vice Princessdent. Let’s not defend inappropriate clothes. The prostitutes and party girls who were brought in the sleep with Kennedy dressed with more decorum.

I don't find the green dress to be wildly inappropriate. I imagine Ivanka's large chest and height affect the way the dress falls. The waist appears high which impact where the slit falls. Plus, I like bell sleeves and midi length dresses.

That said the retailer is selling the dress as special occasion, not work wear. But who's to say it doesn't work for the president's daughter/White House advisor. She's a first.

$825 for a dress made from rayon?!

The bell sleeves are getting a lot of hate, but as someone with a similar build I can tell you that bell sleeves can be very flattering. They help balance the proportions of a large bust.

She’s not a “first,” she’s a constitutional nightmare. If she wanted to formally take Melania’s roll as she’s usually too lazy to perform the duties of First Lady, that would be one thing. This is another. Since she is playing at White House advisor, she should dress for the job. It’s just further insult that she clads herself so poorly and in such an ugly fashion. She looks bad and budget, with ill fitting clothes, poor cuts, inappropriate styles, and indicating way too much about the anatomy beneath.

That designer doesn’t really seem like she makes work dresses. But out of the available dresses, I like this one better (more garden party than office, but that’s IT’s vibe):

So glad she finally embraced the nude pumps. Am I alone in thinking implants that big are a dated 1980s holdover?

As someone with naturally occurring large breasts, I just never understand why anyone would choose them. Bras are more expensive and harder to find, clothes are never cut for them and it’s easy to look like you’re all boobs or mumsy as hell (both of which we’ve seen on Ivanka), to say nothing of the fact that hauling that weight on your front isn’t comfortable.
